Yeah but is it worth paying another $35 for 4 hours or so? Even if I get out of work around 2 I won't get up there till at least 4.

Quick question on camping. Do they allow fires?

Blah. Took my buddy and his Heep out to get some flexing in on his new suspension. Thank god he was there though cuz I hand to winch off him a few times. Haha dam trail limo. It was funny though winching and wondering wtf was goin on cuz the winch was pulling but the truck wasn't moving so I looked and realized it was pulling his jeep back. Haha. But then i climbed into the truck and realized the temp was almost into the red. Fought with it for a while Had to keep the heat on full bore. Windows down. It was hot as hell. But once we got off the trail and picked up speed the temp stayed normal. Gonna change the thermostat this week hope that's what it is. The fan is blowing pretty good and the rad tank was a little over the full mark. Hope I can fix it and test run before the weekend. I don't want to drive out there and not wheel because off overheating.

Well did some more research and I think it may be the fan clutch. But I'll have to wait till tomorrow to check it out. Idk if it's the thermostat because as soon as I picked up speed the temp dropped back down. I'm thinking it's an airflow issue. Dosnt help the truck was in a front end collision before I bought it so the rad is bent so the bottom driverside corner of the fan shroud isn't up tight to the rad. Hopefully I can get it fixed before Thursday. Ordering a spare tomorrow too. Dam it's starting to dry up my funds I was saving for supplies(alcohol, food). Haha

I had the same issue a few years ago . Change the fan clutch and that didn't help . Remove the radiator and washed all the mud out . No issues after that .

1st thing would to be sure no air pockets in the cooling system. 2nd thing would be changing the thermostat. Fan clutches are usually pretty reliable unless you can see oil seeping from the center.

Never noticed any oil. But my repair manual says if the truck is hot and you turn the fan you should feel resistance but mine turns just the same as if it's cold. But idk. I mean the dam thing is running good I can put my hand by the oil filter when the truck is running and can feel the air it's pushing. So I may check the thermostat today. But like I said it feels like an air flow issue because when I got my speed back up it went down to normal.
