I wouldnt mind getting synthetic rope for my winch, its also safer than the steel cable. $240 is an amazing deal for a winch lol

oh really? I was under the assumption that it was just the cable difference, so the drum needs to be replaced too?

 

From what Ive read is that when the winch is under a heavy load it can nick the drum which in terms can mess up the synthetic line

 

ahhhh ok, that makes sense

on another note....im gonna have to go to Oreily's here in a bit....woke up to a nice pool of coolant under Laylah....that Gates rubber hose I got to replace the factory one wasnt 100% long enough but I got it to fit. But I guess it finally said fuck you and started leaking lol. So gonna go get a 2 foot piece of coolant tubing for the overflow tank and put some hose clamps on them and refill the overflow tank again

 

Any wheeling going on this weekend?

Like I posted previous, synthetic rope, under load, can crush the drum. Literally crush it.

I know. That's half the fun. Worked on a car the other day, had 3 roach baits under the passenger seat. Of course I was working on the passenger seat so I had to watch out for stuff.

well looks like im going to have to buy ANOTHER radiator shround...just gonna buy an OEM one...for some reason this Dorman replacement one, the Union is apparently a slight bit smaller than 5/16s. the hose fits perfectly by the radiator cap but not on the tank itself....it barely slides on snugly. so it doesnt seem to be leaking now with some hose clamps holding it on. Im not going to rely on hose clamps to hold all the fluid in, im just going to get a genuine replacement and not worry about it

 

I was thinking the Florida section needs a suspension thread,people were talking leafs and stuff so I think we need a thread dedicated to it. I have a DB lift so I can't start it,too many haters. lol. What do you think?
