me and "miss's" just got back from a good ole' crackle barrel breakfast...so im bout to start setting everything up. If the switch wiring fix doesnt work ill post on here what I have and we'll see if we can diagnose it again. I really think my misreading of the schematic is where the issue lies.

On a side note, you think its ok to mount the compressor on the passenger side of the engine bay where the stock intake airbox sits (over the wheel well). I have all that open space and I'm thinking about mounting the bracket right there.

 

Mine has been in that location for over a year with no problems

For those of you following the tragic tale of my wiring adventures, I have the ditch lights wired, working, and the LED on the switch turns ON when the lights are on, and the LED is OFF when the ditch lights are OFF. Also got the compressor mounted along with the wires ran (waiting for my switch to come in the mail and the switch panel to wire the switch up and that will be complete). HUGE moment of satisfaction when the lights operated as intended. Thank you all for the help. (the one piece that kept me from making it happen was the constant pwr (or you could have used the IGN wire) wire from the battery to the switch. my pwr wire from relay to switch with jumper to constant pwr on the switch was my disconnect). Thanks again everyone!

 

Well gents I finally fixed the leak after about 2 hours of rain I went out and about a tablespoon of water was in my floorboard. I did the water test again. Quickly found was could have been a missed spot or an air bubble in the silicone. One drop at a time a very slow time was coming in. I patched it up and once it dries I'll do the water test again and should be good to go. Any other time. That heffer would have been dumping buckets in. So we are good to go now. It was such a little amount it didn't even make it to the carpet.

 

And for all you Cracker Barrel people. I'm going to have smoked prime rib so enjoy your biscuits and corn bread.
