ok so ill lay it out for you guys, im looking for about 2.5" of lift good street manner and ability to do some mild to intermediate offroading on occasion. ill be running 285's i know ill have to do a bmc and im ok with that. I HAVE NO INTEREST IN 5100'S

i want to have good street manners and good offroad ability without failing on me when and if i need it. the 6112 look great and i have read they offroad well but lack of adjustable collar is my only turn off.

FOX 2.0 not 2.5's seem an affordable option and at 2-2.5" lift i hear have good street manners but how about offroad?
i have looked at the boss lift but to me they appear to be 5100 shocks re branded. maybe im wrong you guys no best let me Know what you all think.

again i want it to drive nice on highway and be a capable offroader. most 2.5" coilovers are crazy money im not looking at spending a ton of money.

i will also be lifting rear 2" as i like the factory rake.

Hmm. Well they both will get you the height. I can't confirm the ride on the fox 2.0 so its hard to say.

Unless you are looking for reservoirs or dampening adjustment I would get 6112 save a few bucks and put toward the ucas...

I really have no negatives to say about the 6112 and I like to go fast off-road and drive my truck almost everyday on road. Increase in performance all the way around and very comfortable ride in my opinion.

Thank you for the input I was leaning to the Fox 2. 0 until the 6112 came out. The Bilsteins look beefier in my opinion.

Good eye the 6112 is bigger 60mm piston and 2.65" body.

Fox 2.0 is about 40mm piston and 2 inch body.

Once the 6112's are installed how easy is it to adjust lift height?

Funny that you have to make that VERY clear lol.

The 6112's adjust the same as a 5100 which require the entire assembly to be removed to adjust height.

You have to pull them back out and move the clip. These are not like real Coilovers

I can't tell what I'm looking at there. Is their price only listed for the spring and shock set, or is it a full built coilover?

carid has them for 629 but headstrong offroad is like 653 and they will also build them for you i believe for an extra 110. thats worth it to me for the customer service aspect.

Off topic, kind of, but Headstrong is awesome. I just bought my Dakar spring pack from them and Marie was very patient in answering a ton of questions on several occasions before I actually ordered. Once I get the front back up a bit if I need UCA's that is where I will be ordering them. Oh and I replied on the other thread but I really like my Fox 2.0's and our intended uses seem very similar.

I'm in the same boat. I talked myself into the Fox shocks due to the fact that they are rebuildable by me, myself and I. The 6112s need to go back to Bilstein

Bump to see if anyone else can compare the two. I currently have 5100s and eibachs and want to upgrade. I'm offroad a lot but not rock crawling or high speed stuff. I want 2-2.5 inches of lift. I'm trying to decide between the Fox 2.0 or 6112s. Which will give a better ride and better range of travel at 2-2.5 inches of lift?

(will be adding camburg UCAs at same time)
