As many of you know, when you 4wheel regularly you're gonna clog and dirty up your cabin filter. This means replacing them way more frequent than expected, and also having to deal with those flimsy useless paper filters. And if you haven't checked your filter, please watch the YouTube video at the bottom of the post on how to get to your filter, because you may be surprised how dirty it is and how much effeciency you're losing because of it.

A few guys on here have the DIY washable cabin filter but I'm lazy, want something that takes almost no time, and is just as good. So I decided to do some dimensioning out and try to find an aftermarket filter that works, and I did!

Product: Upgr8 U8701-1301 Hd PRO OEM Replacement High Performance Dry Drop-in Panel Air Filter

Purchased off Amazong for $21.95 with Prime Shipping

It fits as close to factory as possible, wiggles a little but you'll never know the difference or hear the difference because of the rubber case (no rattle or whistle). Compared to the paper filter, this filter has better "technology" to its design, so it looks to have a better air quality, and also better air flow. Don't quote me on that though.

As you can see (including the rubber) it's close to the same size, especially seeing the paper filter can be compressed easily, it's a good match

As you can see, it fits nice and snug in the filter

So for $22 and a simple 5 minute swap, you can have an aftermarket washable filter. Instead of paying close to the same amount for a dealer to do it for you, or $10 for a filter every time it gets dirty.

Here's the video on how to get to the filter:

Good idea. Does it completely cover the air inlet hole for complete filtration? Is it pushed all the way to the back of the filter housing? It looks like it will have a lot of play

It definitely covers the fan/turbine, I made sure of that before I installed it. I pushed it back pretty snug, didn't play much when applying pressure. I'll be more interested to see if it moves from 4wheeling and being in there longer than a couple days. But so far it works

Been doing good! You hear the fan more than the stock one, but you rid of the air flow sound of a normal AC. I like it and am happy. I can suggest you maybe find one tighter fit for more stock sound but I'm keeping it
