My wife and I went to L.A. and then Vegas towards the beginning of April. We stayed with some friends that lived in both of those places.

    Here's me at Disneyland.

Check out this sweet convertible. It was the only way to see L.A. Driving in L.A. was crazy. It was more like a video game than what I'm used to. Merging consisted of swerving over when there is a opening. After about a day, I was used to it.

We were waiting for the Santa Monica Pier roller coaster and then a whole bunch of cops came up with their guns drawn to arrest 3/4 of the roller coaster occupants...I guess they didn't have their tickets :p They closed the ride after making the arrests.

What the hell were they wearing? That water is cold. It's no wonder the baywatch women always looked cold.

We went on the WB backlot tour. It was pretty good. We saw a bunch of famous people from shows that I didn't watch.

    Me and the wife.

    Mel's Diner was very good.

I found Bob hanging out by the Chinese Theater. And, No, I didn't pay you for this picture! :p
    [IMG]

We went to a Leno show. More famous people that we've never heard of.

Griffith park was great. Nice drive and probably good bicycle ride. I'd choose Griffith park over Central Park.

WTF. We took the scenic route down from Griffith Park and found this Scion. Only in L.A.

The Getty Center, this was a very neat museum. I enjoyed the garden they had, but there were a lot of other pieces.

BMW M5. This is my dream sports car.

Here we are at the Ivy restaraunt.

Sweet Hilux. I also saw a Hilux flatbed but I couldn't get the camera in time.

mmm...cupcakes. Yes, we went to a place that served only cupcakes.

    More getty center gardens.

    Here is Marilyn Monroe's fence.

    Look at the trunk here!

In & Out Burger...it was good, but not great. The donuts and liquor, however, were great!

They actually make their own fries. I hope the potatoes were at least frozen before.

Biggest Rockstar ever. Bought in San Dimas. We looked for a phone booth, but couldn't find one. This was on our way from L.A. to Vegas.

Tallest gift shop ever, was biggest let down ever.

All I wanted to do was go to the big boy restaurant, route 66, every crappy casino on the side of the road, the ostrich burger place, tallest gift shop, ghost town, death valley, and the mad greek restaurant. And my wife only let me pick about half of those.

I think it was a DB9. Expensive cars were all over the place over there.

    Here we are in Paris
    [IMG]

mmm...jubillees. This was a topless show. We were moved to the front row. It turns out that these women looked better from the back row. There were about 50 itty bitties and 3 huge pairs. Very entertaining to say the least, at least until the men came out wearing thongs. I especially enjoyed their rendition of the Titanic. Did I mention that I was a bit confused by the whole thing.

My wife got really tired of me commenting on every Tacoma. This was the most modded one I found.

Who doesn't hate Carrot Top???

    Ballin'

We stayed at the Venetian one night. That place is nice! 3 TV's in a standard room.

Here I am asking "Haven't we taken enough photos already."

We went to the Beatles Cirque du Soleil. I'm not a big Beatles fan, but this was great. They updated/remixed a bunch of the classics and the show was very interesting.

More WTF. This was a frog that came out singing "What a wonderful world" We weren't nearly drunk enough for that.

Here's me and J. Lo. That's right, I did it.

Here's me saying "Make sure you get the whole body in the picture." By the way, that seat should be lysol'ed more often.

Here's Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds. We went to a car museum. It was fun for me and the wife tolerated it.

Here's the Hoover Dam. It was extremely low when we got there. I blame Al Gore.

We went to the Old Strip in Vegas. That place was even dirtier than the new strip. I would have been able to stay a bit longer if there wasn't a stabbing next door to the restaurant we were eating at.

yeah, we did have a great time. I loved that California weather.

I'd like to go to San Francisco. Most of my grandparents are from there.

No, I didn't take any damn tours. I wanted to, but I was the only engineer/nerd in the group, so we just went to the damn restroom, damn giftshop, and then we went on our merry little way. Damn.

    You can always go back....

I'm kicking myself for not taking an expensive helilcopter ride over the grand canyon.

We thought we could drive to the closest rim and check it out, but apparently...it's a lot farther away from Vegas than we thought (for a day trip). So we never got to see any of it.

We'll be back.... and you'll be back too!

i'd love to know what it feels like to be the ugly one, but i have no idea. dont get me wrong, i only date foxes (hot ladies not animals) but i have yet to see a woman who i think is prettier than me. i'm sorta whats known as "drop dead gorgeous" with "the body of a greek god". and you might think being as good looking as me would be a good thing, but really its kind of a curse. cause when you're the good looking one, everyone else is ugly. so now i gotta look at you ugly fools all day and the only time i get a break is when i walk by a mirror. Its so hard being pretty....
