    back to bone stock.
i just ate at my BIL's home. paper plates. you know what i found amazing? the plates (and plastic cups) were approx 10% of the dirty dishes. they had pans, trays, serving plates, serving utensils, etc to wash. i watched him toss a handful of plates and cups, and tackle a mountain of real dishware with the sink.

i had to bite my tongue..big time. in a sink load of dirty dishes.i think the plates are the easiest thing to wash.

they need to invent disposable pots and pans!! now that would be something. :D

Blows my mind as well. I guess some people DGAF. Hell when i go to restaurants i specifically eat in, because food just tastes better when you eat off a proper plate with a real fork and knife.

I use paper bowls, plates and plastic spoons forks ect to save water and all the stuff i use is recycle-able and goes in that bin.
Unless I have over company then I use actual stuff.

What an odd thread. I haven't used paper plates since I was a kid. What a tremendous waste of resources.

Thats your opinion and it does not match mine.. oh no.. LOL

But seriously I camp and use paper plates ect.. I live in California with water shortages so I use paper plates ect and recycle..
Life is about adapting to situations, I do not use them because I am poor as the cost of buying them over washing a dish is clearly not cost effective however!!!! I do it to save water and actually recycle them VS tossing in the trash.

Sorry Mr Taco me elmo, if I lived where there was a water shortage I think I would think more about saving water too. Sorry for not being more considerate of what you guys are going through. Wish I could do something to help...

Waste of paper. Never use them unless I'm eating while camping or something where there is nowhere to wash dishes.

I've started just eating everything raw, off my hands or floor. This way I don't waste electricity, natural gas, water, time, money, etc... in fact, I'm moving into a cave. To live completely off grid. Taco will be parked and never driven. I will walk to get food. Luckily my cave will be right next to McDonald's.

I've taken it a step further and stopped eating completely and burned my truck to the ground and collected the heat energy to distribute equally among the masses.

Haha but on the real, no, I don't use paper plates, ever. I prefer real plates. My parents use paper plates and its the weirdest thing to me.

Nope, I collected all that too and formed it into carbon plates for eating. Which I don't do anymore.

Paper plates are a waste of money and resources. Why create more garbage than necessary? Dishes aren't that hard and I'd even bet most of the ppl blowing money on paper plates b/c they're too lazy have dishwashers.
