Looks like a 2 post lift extension. Used on trucks to clear running boards.

Check out Cooper ATW. Essentially an AT3 that is also really good on snow/ice.

Saw it, does not come in desired sizes I'm looking at. I will be putting a set of them on the wife's T4R before the end of the summer though.

    \\ Coil-Over Question //

Maybe I'm a newb, maybe I don't know much about re-valving shocks. Maybe I don't know squat about squat.

What I do know, is that while there may be sag, my stock suspension seemed to have lasted much longer that 5 years.

Here is my question: Why are any of these setups considered "better" if you have to replace parts or do ANY work to them even if they are only daily driven on road?

Now, I will say that I like the way my Billie's ride. I like a stiffer ride, in my *truck*. But if they are going to need replaced much sooner than my stockers, in what manner are they better? Yes, I'm in Adam's "80% on road" group.

First off...shocks do not prevent suspension sag. Shocks do not hold up the weight of the truck, they only dampen oscillation. Springs are what hold the truck up and sag. Springs...like bushings...are consumables. They eventually clap out.

The two biggest reasons for quality shocks are rebuildable and revalvable. Buy once, cry once. You don't replace a rebuildable shock after it's life, just replace the seals, new oil, charge, and you've got a brand new shock again. Rebuild kits are $25 and a gallon of oil is about $40/gallon. One gallon will rebuild four 8" stroke shocks with resis (two rebuilds). They are also larger diameter shock compared to a billy or OME. You've got an extra half inch diameter, which lends itself to larger oil cavity (and if you get remote resis, even more oil capacity). More oil means you can run them longer before the shock oil gets to hot and the oil fades. Also any remote resi shock (and some high end non-resi shocks) have an internal floating piston (IFP) which separates the oil cavity from the nitrogen cavity. Versus a billy or OME which are just monotube emulsion shocks. Separate cavities prevent shock cavitation and more consistent characteristics across the temperature band.

If you don't care about the tuning aspect, and are purely a pavement pounder, there's no real reason to go with a high end shock other than bragging rights and attempting to gain high fives from your bros and drop panties of the hoes.

    Well yeah. :cookiemonster:
I didn't say people with OME were pavement pounders. Absolutely nothing wrong with OME or Bilstein's IMO. They do the job and do it well. They don't stand up to my style of wheeling which is why I don't have them, but I certainly had them on my old Tundra and I had zero issues or complaints.

It's a floor jack extension for high clearance vehicles. Goes between the jack pad and the hydraulic arm.

Anyone know if 2nd gen tacoma seats will fit in a 1st gen xtra cab? I figure there is some modification to be made for them to bolt up but will they physically fit?

Considering the size difference of the 2 generations im sure they would fit however they will most likely be taller to sit in and wider as well, I know the floor bolts do not line up exactly so a custom bracket will need to be made, I have seen it done and its a bit of work.

A more popular swap is Subaru WRX and Celica seats.

Without a doubt the OME/Bilstein would not hold up to your style of driving. ;) You are one of the few on here that legitimately need something more from your suspension.

Not direct bolt on. Need to modify factory slides or make new ones. A bunch of writeups around the web on the subject.
