@CoTacoTRD not quite open

 

what part of colorado is this at?

 

Precisely here, Webster Pass, which often has a snow drift this large or bigger until mid-late July: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.5306223,-105.8334541,252m/data=!3m1!1e3

This was it the same time last year, much bigger drift.

couldn't get over how green everything is this year

and another little cabin after the turn off to SOB hill. People actually stay in this one (don't think I would) and there are guest books and "furnishings" and all.

 

@lotsoftoys when you're looking for SOB don't let that last picture fool you. I took that after going past the turn off (rd. 254 maybe?) and turning around to come back to it.
So while that cabin is on my right in the picture, It would be on your left as you make a right to go up to SOB.

Awesome pics @teamhypoxia! I'm kicking myself for not bringing my camera and GoPros. Could've captured the wheelstand by @Night Eagle and the sweet views and ambience up there. That's what I get for leaving here in a hurry.

My friend's Ford Escape couldn't make it over the one obstacle near the top (coming from the east side) so we had to turn around.

Ol' Red didn't even flinch going over it, twice.

Have to say the new suspension is delightful. First time going over a real obstacle with weight in the back. OME/Dakar is awesome compared to the 180,000 mile stock suspension prior.

And the new(ish) tires did great too.

 

The odds have now increased for me moving to CO Springs. Are there any Prerunner safe trails for me to drive on?
