Under the hate to have fast cars I have to drive slow in favor the more fun of slow cars I can drive fast..I sold my Corvette and hunted down a 12 Miata MX5 SE in West Palm Beach. Flying down this morning to pick it up and drive back....From Tacoma to MX5 Quite the culture shock...

Did they not have any men's cars for sale?

Just kidding, they look like a lot of fun to drive.

I got rid of my Vette because it was made by GM and the reliability of a lot of little things was terrible. I would not buy another GM car, Especially a discontinued one. I don't race... I drive If I wanted a racecar I would have kept the Corvette

We had a corvette for 7 years....never had an issue with it. Sold it......because we rarely drove it. Too low...and just not practical. We want a 2 door convertible that we're not afraid to drive it down a dirt road OR in a rainstorm.
    This year..... expensive patio installed.
    Next year.... new tacoma.
One garage bay empty.....One of these days, we'll have a BMW Z4 with retractable hard top. ;)

My brother has a Miata and loves it. There's probably a shitload of aftermarket stuff for Miata's which gives you lots of ways to customize and horse-power-ize them. Regardless.....having another vehicle is fun as hell no matter what you have!

Yeah the Miata is a hoot. I don't worry where I park it, I don't obsess over keeping it clean and out of rain, I don't worry about people doing anything to it in a parking lot as they probably figure it belongs to some hot chick......or 70 year old white dude.

Wife did not like driving the Vette Loves the MX5 so we BOTH can enjoy that car. Its our grocery, night out, and small package runner. I want the redesigned ND . Probably will sell the bike to buy the ND

Are there a decent amount of HP and suspension handling upgrades that can be done to this car? GM missed the boat by having at least a 350 HP option in a nice looking sports car.

Plenty of upgrades available. I'm pushing 300hp with a GM tune. There are a lot of tunes out there wild to mild. The suspension on the GXP is surprisenly good out of the factory. Plenty of upgrades in that area as well. The Solstice was also a parts bin car. More so than most GM cars, so parts will be available for years.
