Ok you have the non-tsb springs. Seems like everything I've seen says an add a leaf gives 2" on non-tsb springs.

 

Stop suggesting AALs to non tsb leafs.

 

Well I know the best suggestion is new leaf packs but some people don't have a budget for that so I would say an aal is better than a block.

 

People don't have money these days. AAL if you one of them.

 

Yea but a year (tops) later they are back on here complaining about the dead leaf pack

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin

 

TSB is basically an unannounced minor recall. A recall is issued when there is a safety issue. A TSB is opened when there are enough reports that a change must be made. Bpth are covered under warranty, TSBs are just not announced and most deslers wont tell you about it if you dont already know

Personally i consider AALs to be like a bandaid on a gunshot wound. TSB leafs or not, the stock packs suck and are usually flat pretty quickly if you use your bed at all. I realize not everyone has the budget for a new leaf pack, but i think people are wasting money on AALs when theyre just gonna replace it again down the road

 

I did get that recall notice and haven't taken it in yet.
Just got the frame recall notice but I agree if your gonna spend the money might as well
be worth it .

 

I would recommend replacing the leaf pack when you do the lift. If you can't afford it wait till you can then do it. Doing what you are going to do correctly is never a cheap proposition. If it is your doing it wrong. Can you tell I sell for a living? I deal with people cutting corners all the time. In the end they regret not making the right choice. Nevertheless, like they say in the movie Airplane, "You have to decide".

Fox suspension arrived today! I will post some pictures as soon as I can. Didn't realize how huge these suspension products are. It is getting me anxious now to get this stuff installed. Remember, patience. I say that now when it comes time to put this together I will be sweating, cursing, angry.....Patience.

 

I hear that brother cutting corners and being complacent was 2 things I learned not to do in Afghanistan. As for your new Fox gear man like Christmas morning!

I plan on lifting front with Eibachs and spindles so about 5-5.5 inches of lift.. What leaf pack do y'all recommend to level the truck w/o using blocks?

You can get them made. I think Alcan leafs? You are on the right track.

 

Depending on the difference from front to back All Pro standards will give you 3" & their expos will give you 4".
Or you can go custom with Alcan like sgtnewundies suggested.

 

So I'm finally pulling the trigger and I'm planning on buying a set of Maxtrac spindles for the front and OME nitro with Dakars for the rear.

I live in an apartment complex that does not allow me to work on my car plus I don't have any tools on me at the moment. If anyone can direct me or help me find someone or any kind of shop that will help with the install that would be awesome.

I am also going to be in Southern California mid-August if anyone wants to help out
