Yessir! On the C5 generation (and actually on the C6 as well) if you see a badge on that front quarter panel you can be rest assured that it's a Z06. I'm sure people stick all sorts of shit there to make you think it's one though. I was thinking about getting a C6 base, but opted for the Z06 of just one generation older.

Made the right choice on the c5. I always liked teh closed headlight style more than the c6. Plus whats the point of getting a base model when your going that far already lol

Its not to bad, its been growing on me. I went exploring last weekend and found some really cool scenery and some trails Im hoping to explore before I leave. Makes me wish I had a decent camera.

Work is an interesting situation at the moment but we will see where things wind up come the end of december and Im graduating. I wouldn't mind ending up here, but well just play it by ear. How's the new runner treating ya?

    Whered you go to?

    Im in Casper again.

Eh no work is fine, I really enjoy everyone I work with. Problem is Im trying to view it from a can i work here in the future and I see how the management is. Its pretty bad. Its hard to tell if its just this district or the whole company. I've heard rumors that the engineers don't get treated all that great, but their is potential for a position at a brand new facility in Denver as a tool instructor/teacher which would be pretty sweet.

Ahhh...gotcha. I think most businesses are like that. For example my work. I like my job, I'm good at it but all of the BS that goes on makes me want to scream. Just gotta figure out if its something you can deal with or not.

I was in the Bighorns outside of Lovell with @farmerjon

Good choice! I almost bought a C5 Vette instead of my PreRunner (would have been cheeper too) but the Taco seemed like a more practical choice for the future.

Yep, the C5, C6, and latest iteration of the Corvette the C7 all have Z06 badging above the front fender outlets for that package. You made yet another good choice in choosing the C5 Z06 over the C6 base, you get better performance from the Z06. Now if you could have afforded the C6 Z06, all bets are off. That's my dream car.

Yea that's kinda where im at. Is this something I can expect from other places or what? This hasn't really been an issue at other companys I've worked for. I mean every place has their quirks. Other issue is odds are they will want em as a field engineer, which is fine. Amazing potential to make stupid amounts of money, for work that is demanding, yet can be pretty lax as well. Problem is I can see them sticking me there with no real potential to move up through the company. I don't want that, I plan on moving high up the company. I dont wanna be some managers bitch, while they get the credit for my work. I want to manage, and do it well.

Most of the east side of the going to the sun road was already closed due to the road construction - i wonder if they evacuated the road crews out too? hmmm...
the west side is nice, and two medicine and many glacier on the east side - would just be a little harder to get around. hwy 2 south of the park is a nice drive though, only way to get from one side to the other now.

Indeed! It's a steep price to be sure, and they hold their value pretty well, in fact most Corvettes do. I just love the 427 LS7. My friend has an 08 Z06 and he had a shop work on the heads and add a boat load of cam, it sounds magnificent! And I bought my 2nd Gen last November for 14.5k. I could've found a C5 base for around 10k give or take depending on mileage.
