I was just thinking the other day that I haven't seen a post from you in a long time.

 

Made a shift knob out of an old handlebar, hot glue, some washers, a nut and an ESI grip to match the gauges and underdash LeDs

 

Funny, I was thinkin' that, my own self.
Been buzy, and priorities are constantly shiftin'.
TW been kinda low on the list, as has been the Tacoma, unfortunately.
Have had sliders sittin' since last fall, I think, waiting for me to do some Rust Abatement.
And so it goes.
I try to look in from time to time and even post, but usually don't take the time to log in.
Just ran across some of your art a couple hours ago, on LIVE maybe.

Interesting... Why not just pull the usb plug out of the charger and stick it in the usb plug? Also, couldn't you install another usb plug where you have 3 blanks?

 

Well, going backwards... Those three blanks are spoken for. Probably where the locker switches will go.

I recently educated myself on why my phone charged so damned slow in a normal USB plug. It used to be that all USB power was 500mA. Then it was 1.5A. Now it's 2.1A. Problem is that some power supplies can be damaged by drawing too much from them, so certain hi draw devices, like my Note4, won't accept the big draw unless the data pins are shorted together. So in order to make the stock USB quickCharge, I'd have to disconnect it from the stereo. Also, added benefit was that the entire project was under $10 this way.

 

Installed a vent in my Hurst shifter. Stock unit had the vent mounted just forward of the shift lever. Drilled and tapped for a 1/8" NPT M-F street elbow, screwed in a 3/8" ID hose barb, routed up to where the other (Xfer case and front diff?) terminate. Used a red air line hose for shits and giggles.

Bought myself a 128GB USB stick, loaded it with music, and connected to entune. Works flawlessly, and saves up my iPod for other uses now

 

Just put in a Kirkland Signature #28 battery (actually last night).

 

I attached my flashlight to the left front seat floor bolt using an $0.82 electrical conduit clasp dipped in plastidip.
