I know some guys back in the day that had the same Honda accord coupe as me. They bought after market lights, spoiler kits, front end kits, etc. In the end it was the same car as mine. True story.

After looking at these pictures of the 2016 I wish I had waited a little bit to get one instead of my 2015.

Yes, I think I'm going to wait. I was about to pull the trigger on a 2015 TRD Off Road 4x4 but the new one is a big much needed refresh. Its basically the same truck since 2005.. Thank god for the GM twins for getting Toyota off their asses and getting to work. Another issue swaying me to the 2016 is the driveline vibration issues are still a problem on the 2015 model after reading some of you guys post.

I have never had an issue on my 08, 11 (and was lifted) or 15 with any driveline vibes. Its hit or miss some people get, some people dont. And $10 bucks says some people will get it again with the 16s, dont care what Mr. Swears said, pics look the same as the 15 when you look at the driveshaft and angles.

I hope he's right, he also made statements though such as the only thing carried over is a seat belt bracket, which is clearly wrong. 3rd brake light, suspension components, steering wheel, and other things evident from SEMA fit show and tell, etc. Im assuming most people are dont take what companies say as 100% truthful, just the world we live in today.

Since the OFF Road is getting the Multi Terrain Select, does anyone know if it is also getting the 4Runner KDS System for suspension?

They would have mentioned if it was getting the KDSS system, who knows maybe when the TRD Pro comes out.

    Pro 4Runner doesn't get KDSS.

Unfortunately not. I've researched the purchase of a 5th gen Trail Edition 4Runner to know I'd definitely want it on the Tacoma if it came with it (since i'd be getter the OR version). Owners generally seem happy with how it improves on road handling over the non-KDSS trail edition. This is on top of any benefit off road. Of course it'd increase the price which maybe the 4runner shopper can tolerate more than the Tacoma shopper.

That's a bummer... i would have thought with the price increase from last gen this technology would have been on board, I've heard nothing but good things about the system. As for price of shoppers... i could easily go for the 4runner but i need a truck bed which is why I am excited for the OR being offered in a DCLB... We are expecting our fist child this January and my FJ just isn't infant friendly, especially with a 3" lift and sliders... so a 4 door makes sense and I need a truck bed now, my brother just moved back to WV (he had a GMC) ... no more "hey, what are you guys doing this weekend" haha...

Love the grill, push start, and electronics. Don't care too much for the big plastic lower lip on the front. Interior I can take it or leave it. Wish they would just make the TRD beadlock wheels standard - at least on the off road model. Hands down the best looking wheel for these trucks. Overall, it looks more like a facelift than a redesigned truck. Biggest disappointment is the horsepower...only 270?

you do realize that the 2014/5 4runner (way heavier vehicle) is only pushing 270 hp / 278 ft lbs on a 4.0 engine with vvti.

And it isn't exactly a slouch compared to the rest of the truck/SUV world.

I'd expect the new Tacoma to be pushing the high 6/low 7 range to 60.

That will look great on your new 2016 2-wheel-drive TRD Sport

    ...looking to buy....
...I tend to agree...but help me out here guys....

...The way I see it...there are 2 basic Tacoma owners....( or for that matter, ANY truck owner regardless of brand )...the first group is mostly guys who actually USE their trucks for what they were originally intended for...which is a utility-vehicle....and many of these guys, and/or a sub-group, use their 4x4s to go OR for many different reasons.....

...These are the guys who would be most interested in the Off-Road Package....

...OK...now the 2nd group just like the 'looks' of a pickup....and would NEVER consider EVER taking their truck any where near non-asphalt paved roads!...They don't want to use the truck for any utility...it's just their choice for styling and personal-life preferences....I hesitate to actually call them posers....but they are not using the vehicle for it's original intent....and that's OK....a matter of personal choice, different-strokes, right?

...These are the guys who would be most interested in the Sports Package....

    ...Again...I'm not judging here...just a bit confused.....and here's why:..

...Guys who prefer the Sports Package tend to wash their vehicles at Least once a week...They keep them super-clean and polished up....a basic street-machine.....

...Guys who prefer the Off-Road Package tend to leave mud caked all over their trucks for sometime...like an earned merit-badge...Proud of where they went OR last weekend....a true 4x4.....

...So here is my point of confusion:...Guys who like the Sports Package also tend to like Chrome more than off-roaders.....SOoooo...

...Why the Hell did Toyota put the chromey lookin grill on the Off-Road Package.....and put the less poser-lookin grill on the Sports Package?.......WTF?!.....is it just me?....
