Seems like a major hassle for anybody who goes off-road on a regular basis and airs their tires down.

I was looking at new Jeeps at the dealership and there was a $99 charge on the sticker for nitrogen filled tires. Ummm take them off and get me air filled tires because I'm not paying extra for inflated tires ESPECIALLY on an off-road vehicle.

That's a much more interesting use for this thread! I'm wondering how using Nitrogen filled tires is going to get the panties to start dropping?

Nitrogen is just a gimmick for dealers to take another $200 out of your pocket. That is what the local Toyota dealer here charges. They told me they add it to all vehicles. I said not mine.

The little green valve stem caps are for clearly marking the vehicle as being owned by someone you can easily sell snake oil or blinker fluid or bridges to.
    A "mark" in other words.

Dude! I should open a nitrogen filling station.

My plan is that I will refill the tires with normal atmospheric nitrogen, place green caps, take money.

Best part is, its still honest.

Sounds good to me, you could even include a guarantee that your "Nitrogen" would contain less than 1% Argon, CO2, Methane, Hydofleurocarbons, Communism, or Canadians!

Actually the capital investment to set up a "legit" nitrogen filling station is relatively low. Just buy one of these filter-guns to filter out the oxygen from normal shop air: http://nitrogentirefilling.com/parker-tyre-saver-tire-wand.html This is why many shops do it - another way to upsell without costing too much.

Gotta hand it to them, that would be an undeniably high profit margin:rolleyes:Screen Shot 2015-07-21 at 10.35.57 PM.jpg

    Lol

My shit would be legit. I'm not going to advertise a percentage. Also I would have fine print stating the oxygen contamination would be less then 22%.

I would charge cheap to. $80 bucks for first fill up. Free flat refill. $30 yearly fill maintenance.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Cracked up the Goodyear tire counter when a sweet confused and fairly frantic white haired old lady (I'll say 85-and she could have been 95) asked if they had nitrogen for her tires. The guys said they didn't. The lady walks out and drives away. The counter guy says "She must be a race car driver" Regrettably, that really happened.

The yearly maintenance fee includes a full flush, something can be worked out for a frequent full flush service.

Yup, for every customer you bring me I'll do a free content maintenance and check. A $25 value.
