damn canadian parts pricing... dealer wants $220 for a cv boot kit (one inner and one outer only).... local shop can get me oem boot kits through toyota for $160 per axle. online i see aftermarket kits for $30 USD per axle shipping out of the states. I usually try to keep all my replacement parts OEM, are these aftermarket boot kits just as durable (looking at the sdhq ones assuming they ship to canada)?? I'll pony up the cash for the OEM quality if necessary i'm not interested in doing this job over and over, but the price difference is very tempting...

apparently from what i've read the hdsq are the exact same as the empi/napa type replacement boots just slightly softer material. my original boots have lasted a long time maybe i'll just bite the pillow and order the OEM ones

Yes it's all cut to fit after I got all the premiering done. I didn't want to try to fit the mesh with the paint in fear of scratching it. After I painted and had all the pieces formed for the grill I slowly started epoxying the mesh to the plastic

Ooops...my bad, 1st gen tundra it is then...still too big
Lol...that's pretty funny. The way I see it I can park my truck and only drive it a day or two a week and on the weekends. Currently I'm driving it about 22,000 miles a year. At that rate I'll be at 300,000 miles pretty soon. I'd like like my truck to last forever. Sadly, that's not going to happen. The daily driver will bring that closer to reality.

I bought the ones from carquest $30 each. lifetime warranty on them and havent had a problem yet after 6 months on a 2.5" lift.

oem parts are waaay overpriced here. I had to pay $50 for the 2 belt tensioners which are just a long bolt and special nut.

t100 vs 1st gen tundra...same width and only 6'' longer WB..tundra actually has a V8. Tundra is really actually the same as a 2nd gen tacoma size wise about...

I did the same thing years ago, after I started modding the truck. It's nice having 2 vehicles. A gas sipper to mile out and the truck to drive for fun and truck duties. I only put up to 10,000km on the truck a year now.

I guess I'd have to see what u mean by excessive water. If u start mine on a hot day and let it idle it'll leave a puddle. If u rev it, itll shoot some water out.... totally normal. Water is a by product of conbustion.
If it were coolant, you'd have misfires like crazy. Cuz a small amount of coolant t like others said will burn and turn to white smoke

You need to watch how you talk to other members. This isn't stupid. This is important to my fiancé and I came to my first gen buddies for support. I didn't come to hear your little smartass remarks. You always have something stupid to say to all my posts

Whatever I paid for it, but I can't remember right now without looking it up, about $300+. Whatever Craig charged for it plus shipping. It is probably better off for a local sale who can pick it up and avoid shipping cost.

edit: sorry about being vague, but I am pissed off about something else I need to deal with right now. I'll post an FS thread when I am ready.

Take advantage maybe not but you routinely spam your lights to anyone with a first gen regardless if they asked for it or not. You are the only "vendor" I have ever seen actively try to sell your shit to random people on this thread, or any other for that matter, without someone asking about recommendations in the first place .

Instead of having your own little thread for your lights and letting people find it on your own you jump at any chance to try to get people to buy your shit.
