NW WA Meet / BS Thread

Well my RTT still isn't in. I orders it from Mule on the 11th they said it'd be here on the 16-18th, I called today and they said the order didn't process and now I can hopefully expect it on Thursday.

 

I'm def gonna go to moon and funny rocks. You made it up that trail in your limo? Or did you come from naches side?

 

I did a few mile section of the Naches last year. It was rad

 

Speaking of Naches, has anyone found a trail route off 90 that connects down to 410/12?

 

We came from the South side to Moon Rocks and Funny Rocks. Here's the trail report from our trip last summer, it was pretty badass and as always, David got some great footage.

It is do-able, but I've never done it. Here's a decent map of the area


You would just need to head SW from 90 to connect to and go over Manastash.

We were debating trekking over to 90 and back down to 410 after we dead-ended on Manastash (4W306). We did part of Tipover and the Shoestring trail before backtracking over the Ridge and back to camp near Little Naches.

 

That sucked hard in the dark. Next time I should listen to you and camp on the trail

 

Lol, yeah that did suck. I was sick of the 5 point turns, felt like this most of the night


It was pretty cool and eerie being up on the peak, pitch black, completely burned out and dead silent, but it would've been just as cool to be there in the day (and easier to navigate)

 

From Eburg, did you come in along Quartz Mtn, along Manastash and drop down into the Naches area on the Kaner Flats trail? Also referred to as 676?

This trail will link Eburg/I90 all the way to 410/Whistling Jacks.

I don't think so, it very similar terrain to that, very tight for my friends JK. We drove up manastash road and went right at the V (left goes to manastash lake) then the trail was on the left not too much further up. It came up to a clearing with a cabin in it that anybody could stay it.

 

You definately need to post a date when you plan on heading up to funny rocks next time. I have been up there with my quad twice and once in a buddies jeep coming from the Naches area. We usually stop at whistling jacks to refuel air down grab some shit from the gas station and head up. I would recommend having rock rails just due to some narrow trails and trees. But none of the 4dr JK guys had issues with vehcile length and making it around shit. I would take my truck up there and watch you climb some shit but i have seen some damage from guys playing in those rocks i cant justify doing to my rig yet.

 

Will do! I need input on weekends that work best for people though.
I haven't been to moon rocks but honestly funny rocks isn't that bad if you have armor. But screw the crack!!

 

Anyone have an extra 255/85-16 tire laying around? Need a spare.

 

may i suggest you root through some used tired yards? be careful about buying a used tire though, inspect it well, make sure there's no cracks on the sidewall, if it has a manufacturing date, you'll want something fairly recent. after rooting through 3 tire yards i found a good tire in the size i was looking for, had them mount it to my spare, and balance it, all for 40. hope that helps.

Thanks dudes. Yeah I'm sure I could find something with relatively minor digging, just seeing if anyone on here had something laying around.

 

I got 4 Jeep Overland style 16x9 rims, came off a 2001 grand cherokee you could have? but like @Haslefre i am not much use at this point.

 

Anyone a local 302 OE on here? Looking at joining.
