    I actually went to the dodge/jeep dealership and got just solid round ones on one end and the other which went into the fender.. Just any dealer it's just a body/molding clip

    Do the clips just pull out? I grabbed one with pliers yesterday (didn't get western with it) and it didn't budge. I'm guessing I need to get behind the fender and finesse them out.

    Turn it and it should come out. I had one or two that gave me a little shit but the rest just turn about 180 and came right out

    I think I'll be doing this soon and trying the plastic push ins with the ribbed shaft. :D

    Edit: I pulled the other rear flare and all the clips on rear. Thanks The Taco for the advice. I was able to grab them with pliers and turn them for easy removal. The orange ones in the middle of the fender are in a smaller hole, so they are a little fussy. I'm not sure those even need to be turned - it's a square hole, not a longer rectangle. I'll post pics when I get plugs. I think this will look good on the gray Taco.

    I went to NAPA



    And filled the holes - no modification needed, just push 'em in (they're ribbed :D)





    They'll blend in better once I wash the truck or the plugs get dirty. Dirty is likely to happen first.

    These are snug in all of the holes. They need to be turned so that the ribs grab the narrow sides of the rectangular holes - I slid a couple in the easy way before realizing they weren't tight. I slammed a couple of them in hard enough to pucker the fender slightly, but I'm confident I can reach up behind the flare and push them out. It's hardly noticeable, but I'll fix it.

    There was a larger head size available, in case anyone is interested for some reason. These just cover the rectangular holes.

    I took mine off and had them off for about two years before i finally painted them and put them back on. I live in a very snowy place and when my flares were off my truck was filthy. After getting the flares back on i noticed a big difference in how dirty my truck got.

    NAPA clips have some wiggle, but it doesn't bother me. I like the look and my 255s don't come out past the fenders. Very happy I removed them.

    Yeah, just a little loose. I think some sort of rubber washer would prevent it - they are made to hold things down, not to stand alone.
