Whats the stereo issue?

 

No idea. Volume/power will drop in and out. Not fully cut out, but just lowers the volume. It's completely sporadic. Doesn't coincide with bumps, load, loose wires, etc. Battery checks out 100%. Even swapped batteries, ohm'd the speakers, cleaned terminals and more tonight thanks to Colby (Aw9d)

Next I'll try finding a HU to swap in, as well as an amp.

It's been going on for at least a month and driving me crazy.

 

Oh hmmm..... well i hope the new borla and a new head unit solve some problems!

 

Short list of things I want to try and accomplish to improve the truck and possibly make me want to keep it.

Fix/finish stereo - sound deaden, add rear Type-R's

Swap my Vibrant resonator for a Borla this Saturday.

Interior shampoo and detail

Window tint

Some misc tlc

 

But all of those love stains are like little fuck trophies? How could you clean those up?

 

Fingers crossed that all goes well

 

I'll let you know how this detail goes on Saturday morning, planning on flipping them an extra $20 to make it perfect, or as closearly as my truck can get I guess haha

wasn't as drastic of a change as I had hoped for. might try swapping out the Aero for a tamer muffler. or.. might just start parting it out to get ready for a new truck.

OK.. I want to say I wasn't completely right on the above mentioned Borla. After yesterday's mods of the Borla as well as swapping my Gen2 TRD intake for an AFE Stage2 Si (HUGE thanks to Rashnu!) I drove a couple hundred miles today running around Phoenix. Cruising speed isn't as loud and it doesn't drone as much. accelerating isn't as loud, and I can hear my Whine again

I think I will be swapping my Aero for a nice tame Magnaflow, and be done with it. The truck seems to just breath better, in and out now. That, plus a quick wash (thanks Juanito!) and detail.. and the truck pulled on my heart strings again today.. damn you..

Going to try and do a couple more small things to help rid the rest of the nuisances..
