Yup I have the factory spare. I believe it's a17. I can check tonight. I can bring it. But the factory tire is still on it. I may be later Friday. My spare is coming Thursday or Friday then get it mounted and I'll be on my way. Btw I washed my rad out real good yesterday not much stuff come out. But I'm gonna take it out tonight and try to duplicate it overheating. Gotta figure this out.

Glad to see a 17 popped up.
On the cooling, with the engine warm, to your get the fan 'roar' on startup?
Also, last time I had my grille off I cleaned the radiators, and there was a surprising amount of crud in there even though I generally pressure wash after wheeling.

Maybe the fan clutch is shot. :notsure: After 6 years and 70K, mine still roars like day 1.

Well I did some minor off-roading today. Just to get it to overheat again. It wouldn't. I realized that I had the ac on Sunday so I turned it on for about 20 min then it started to get warm. I shut the ac off and the temp went back down. Soooooo I'm good because I very very very rarely us the ac. Haha. But seriously after this weekend I'll have to look into it a little more. So much stuff to do so little time. Gotta get fire wood gotta trim some more fender flare gotta clean my truck (inside) get stuff ready. I was hoping to be there about 1230-1 Friday but my tire won't be ready till about 11. Soo it's gonna be closer to 3 till I get there.

2 weeks ago I pulled my radiator completely out and was shocked at how much mud was caked in it. I only had about a softball sized hole that I could see light through. After playing in the mud I would always try and wash it the best I could.

I think I'll be there Saturday morning and stay for the shenanigans that night. Going to try and take it easy this trip. Feels like all I've done the last few months is fix stuff.

Been in this boat lately too. But I think I am gonna take the opposite approach and beat the piss out of her because I probably won't be able to wheel again for the rest of the year if the maintenance shit keeps up. The downside of high mileage and neglected maintenance of previous owners.
