    Yank the stock rear end out, build yourself an inexpensive 31 spline junkyard Ford 9 inch rear end, and spend a little money on a GPS speedo and call it a day.

    I thought the 2nd gen manuals already have the speed sensor in the transfer case that's why the speedo gets really messed up when you regear.

    @Rock Lobster I've never heard of slave cylinder issues? :notsure:

    So a lil update... As some of you suspected it was a build up of condensation in muffler. I have a flow turn sideways so it just collected the condensation from the repeated start ups but never being really driven since being at the shop. Had Anthony warm it up and drive I around the shop lot and it burned all the collected water off. Ran a compression test and cylinder 2 and 4 tested at 150 while all the others hit 190.... Without pulling it apart the guy thinks there is a tear or issue with gasket or head on that side.

    So do I buil the donor truck or try to fix said issue hmmmm....

    your changing everything on your truck already anyway? whats the millage difference on the donor? you could always build the donor and sell the red truck as is to someone who wants to fix it up.

    My doors are the only stock things left besides the headlights
    URD Throwout bearing and stainless sleeve help a bunch, why they cast the bell housing like that is beyond me, but when the pilot shaft gets worn from the bearing you'll end up going through them often without the URD fix

    Did you have one? You're definitely the biggest 6 speed basher on here, no offense, I'm just curious if you actually had one and what *actually failed* besides the TOB.
    I don't want to start the whole debate here though... Just curious

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.
    Get a manual. I have driven Marcs sweet mid travel 2012 with a Hurst Short Throw shifter and its super slick. Clicks through the gears.

    Also, my dad has all of that on his and it pulls hard with 4.56 gears and 34'' tires. He also has the 7th injector and the UCONN.

    Damnit you guys, i just thought about how easy an auto is. Sigh, well ive got an appointment to test drive a manual on saturday and make up my mind about it. Hoping i like the manual enough as stock to want to upgrade it all. Another thing that draws me to it is i cam upgrade to a T56 down the road if need be
