Finally had too many jobs that required it that I was turning down. Finally got a million dollar liability insurance policy also.

At least you get a backing strap with that test. Makes it almost impossible to fail. Plus overhead stick is easy really. Just shove the rod in the whole time lol. I'll have to take that test again in September more than likely along with a 3g. Then I'll get to do a 4G flux test too. Woooh lol

 

This test takes forever. Having to wait for the plate to cool.

Nah just stick. I just need something to show clients I'm certified. I'm working on a water tower next week

 

What do you guys use to grind welds smooth ? I'm building a rear bumper

 

Flap disc are awesome.

 

I'd like to smooth out the welds on the front , so it looks better .

Cheapest you'll find and quality too. Order in bulk if I was you. I order 10-15 at a time.

 

I used a polishing disc, it looks like sandpaper on a grinding disc.

Whoops, none of those post where there when I posted, I have a terrible internet connection.

 

That's all we use great disks and a killer price. LOL 10 or 15 "bulk"! I like to have a stock of them so 300+ an order is what I normally get.

Cubitron 2 fiber disks will put all flap disks to shame on steel.
