Hey @VolcomTacoma2011 you need to know about this too.

I just got off the phone some time ago with them. Explained the situation and told them what happened. Talked to Gadget myself about it and asked him if there was anything he could do for me, maybe a credit or something, maybe even partial, whatever, I explained to him what a bitch of a time I had attempting to put it in, and ultimately removing in pieces and he pretty just said sorry, you're on your own. He might be a small business and I get that, but if you have a bad product which causes the end user a result of not being able to use it and having to destroy it in the process after taking the steps correctly to install it, then that is a defective product and you should try to do something to take care of the frustrated customer. It's not so much about the money, it's about the principle behind it.

Lets not get into the first pulley which he shipped incorrectly initially which caused me to have to order the second with expedited shipping due to incorrect shipping selected on his end because he thought I said PA, not CA, then there was talks about a "restocking fee." Even though that was their bad.

It's fairly apparent to me that the customer support is not as important as the sales here. I tried to go about this the fair way, so my slate is clean.

It's quite alright, but as a first time buyer from them, it's clear to me that I will not be buying from them ever again. If they had bad a bad product but were willing to work with me, ok. It happens, but the fact they want to be like this and tell me to basically kick rocks has left a seriously rotten taste in my mouth.

    Updates:

All steel battery tray box has arrived from summit and i ready to weld on to frame for relocation. This will be getting done August 1st at BAMF.

Jerry at BAMF looked at my skid plate from SOS Concepts and in nicer words pointed out to me what a piece of utter shit it is. He will be making necessary repairs in order to make it a usable and decent skid plate and remountable back onto the truck again. One small hit in the sand to it collapsed and broke the welds on both towers in the center mounting areas causing the plate to be able to get unbolted to the rear mounting locations. He pointed out that was due to a lack of proper penetration during the welding process. Real nice.

I will be replacing my BFG A/T KO tires with some Cooper Discoverer AT3's all around within a week or two tops.

Tie rod for the passenger side of the power steering rack has arrived at last. I just have to go pick it up and replace it.

Just received a pricing update from Anthony at DTF for the work I will be performing. That's still on for August during the Pismo trip.

I installed boost and AFR guages into the truck. For now I have the boost hooked up. The AFR is pending due to a bung needed to be welded in order for it to work correctly.

We are literally talking about a waiting game here, but all this should turn into a reality before August 13th. :D

Maybe I can do my battery relocate that day. I'll have the tray all welded up and ready to go by then so at that point it would basically be the physical moving of it and the rewiring, which I will always welcome the extra help for!

I only read your first two posts, but very nice looking rig!! My Taco is a little jealous of your suspension set up - are you really getting 10" of travel with stock length arms? I replaced the UCAs with uniball ones, but maybe I should look into uniball LCA's too. And the air bumps! *drool*

I like the sound of that. It'sbeen a while since I threw some down and told neighbors to eat one. Looks like I have my hands full that day! Do you have an Ace hardware around? I have to go and pick up all new bolts for the frame for when I install the skid again. Two of my stock ones are gone and the other four are fudged at the threads due to shit engineering from a certain fabrication company who built my plate.

    Thanks man!

I really am getting 10" of travel. The way that was possible was because of the way Dirt King manufactured their arms. They reposition the uniballs so you can get the most possible articulation out of them so extended travel coilovers can net you more droop and uptravel. I am an inch and a half shy of entry level LT at this point. A lot of that can be tuned to perform better than the LT of 11.5" to perform better than it and at this point I would say I am able to hang with entry level LT kits. Especially with the hydro bumps. Love 'em man. They make the truck work SO much better with them on than without them.

Just received the spindles today. Here is what the battery tray looks like. I get my tie rod replacement tomorrow. Things are coming along! I'll have to take some time out of the day to heat and paint all this stuff, but progress so far!
