Much more aggressive lines. The 4runner looks evil. The Tacoma headlights look like baby just got put in a corner....

My guess is 24-25 max highway for the 4WD.

be totally worth spending $35K to get a $3 plastic mount... :D

    Yep... Insurance $900
    Property taxes $687 year
    Upkeep avg $220 month

Paid off and way CHEAPER than renting anything. those in the Northeast paying $12000 a year for property taxes may not be worth owning

It really depends on where you're buying. We have 1700 feet with a big pond out back and woods behind it 5 miles from the beach. South Carolina is an amazing state to live in. Glad to have moved here from the west.

This is why we can afford to buy new Tacomas every year... LOL.. and toys like Miata, boats and bikes.

I have no problem with the new Tacoma. I might just like it too much. So buying one will depend on the spread between 15 and a 16 I don't want to get crazy but I would pay $5000 for the 16
That's how much it cost me to go from 14 with 19 thousand miles to a brand new 15. My 15 will have less than 3000 miles on it, lol

Oh Hell no... I was raised in New Jersey. My brother still lives up there in Clifton. In a relatively small house in a tract..... Pays $12000 that's thousand a year in property taxes. It's like he's renting the land.

curious as to what is the value of that house? That is crazy, but I'm sure rents have that cost built in. Thanks to prop 13 here my tax is $3600/yr on a $800k house (the assessed value can only go up 2% a year). If someone bought the house now they would pay approx. $8000/yr in taxes. Why I decided to upgrade and stay put

House value in Clifton NJ about $350K.

I lived in San Diego when Prop 13 was passed . Lived there for 15 years. Did not care for the metropolis it was becoming. There was a dirt road where 15 is to Escondido.LOL Houses were cheap. The NEXT owner of your house won't have a low tax bill LOL Pete Wilson was Governor and Jerry Brown the first time around.

Anyone could go see Fouts play and get good seats. I was at the 84 series when the Padres lost four straight to the Tigers, Downtown San Diego was quaint, No helmets required on bikes....I sold out in the 90s and moved to Las Vegas.....sold out there when the getting out was good.

With that kind of equity you could sell out and move to the SE and retire early

and to keep within thread boundaries......I LIKE the 16 Tacoma......A lot. Except for the wheels...I think they look like Ass...

I cannot turn in a lease every year or two Nor do I put enough miles on to make a lease worth the rental fee. I would rather pay if off than make payments on anything. I would keep the 16 for a longer run. Plus if i have a massive heart attack, no one has to deal with leases and payments. I can will the titles as assets.

In reality the Tacoma has such good resale , i really can't get hurt trading it. Maybe $5k ....Thats a pittance to pay for a new 16. Much more than that and I keep the 15. (Unless I like the Limited LOL) One of the benefits of not buying my first new car until I was 50 years old. We sacrificed a LOT to for a whole lot of years to get to where we can be a little foolish and spend the kid's inheritance.....hee hee.

You can take out a year lease though.... that way you just pay the depreciation on the truck instead of lose a bit extra to the dealer on trade.

Insurance on a 1 year lease is CHEAP.

If wasting money is fun to you then have at it . Just trying to help you keep a few bucks in case a hurricane hits and your bank messes up an insurance payment. That extra 1-2K could come in handy.
