Not by much and given its a big price increase from current model, but you do get new gizmos and powertrain. Congrats.

How did you get that price? Trucar doesn't have pricing for 16's

USAA guarantees its customer True Car pricing. The dealership is a USAA/True Car partner. Whenever the prices come out in August/September, there will be one for True Car.

I still can't even put my request for an allocation in yet. I have 4 dealers calling me as soon as they know haha.

Ahhh. Gotcha. Was freaking out for a moment because 15 Truecar pricing is about $4K under MSRP for 16's lol. Thought you found a loophole in the system.

You can still get an idea of the MSRP from that pdf scan that is floating around on the forums. I priced my TRD Off-Road Double Cab Long Bed at $35,345

It'll do great burn outs in the dirt with that locker. I thought I was the only one complaining about Sport and O/Rs being sold in the 2 wheel drive model

Negotiate off MSRP sticker or preferably invoice +. Some dealers won’t bite on invoice plus but others will. Tell then you are shopping around and will buy the best deal you find at the end of the week.

You never give them a date. If they ask whwn you are planning to buy, tell them soon. If they don't want to help you, find someone who will

I'm talking about placing an order on a vehicle. Soon/end of the week what is the difference. You tell a dealer I want to purchase a ordered truck for $XXXX over invoice and see who bites. I should have stated to go into negotiations with a set number and not the best deal end of the week. "I want to pay $500 over invoice. I'm going to shop a bunch of dealerships to get it. I want to place an order in the next week or so....
I called 2 dealerships and visited 2 when I bought my last truck. I told them I wanted to buy a ordered truck for $500 over invoice without any huge doc fees(a lot of dealerships will deal on a ordered vehicle). I think I told them I wanted to order it by next week. One dealership told me sticker, another told me $1,000 under sticker was the best they could do, and the closest dealer to me said he could not do $500 but would do $2300 over invoice. I called a dealer in a small town (still seemed like a large dealer) about 200 miles away and told them I wanted to order a truck for $500 over invoice. They said sure but it will be a $1,000 refundable deposit. They asked me what options I wanted and sent me the invoice print out and a contract for invoice + $500. The truck was ordered and I picked it up in 3 months. (Invoice actually went up $250 bucks from my time of order to delivery but they honored the original price) If you have the time to wait for a ordered vehicle that is the way to go unless buying a leftover.

There is definitely some miss-information or wrong opinions in this thread. MSRP sticker and invoice doesn't change between dealerships (maybe shipping to some states). You just need to negotiate off one or the other.

I won't be using USAA, but AARP for us +50 folks. We bought my wife's car using it and it ended up a great deal.

Hopefully by spring dealers will have a bunch of 2016's sitting on their lot.

So you are paying 500 less than invoice, because you already have them 1000 dollars.

Or are they charging you 1000 dollars to order a vehicle? I hope you know what kind of 'deposit' it is

Are you sure about that? MSRP is obviously the same no matter what, but invoice?
That would mean that a dealer that orders 8 Tacomas will be paying the same price as a dealer that orders 50. If invoice is always the same well then shoot I should just have my car salesman uncle order one straight from Toyota so I only pay at cost.

I don't see how invoice will be the same across the nation. Because I couldn't order just one and get a good deal.

I'm also a USAA member, and I only saw pricing for 2015's. How did you already get guaranteed pricing on a 2016. Do you have top secret super squirrel USAA access?

I don't know but if when they come out, the TRD Pro DC is more than $42k, I just may get a 4R Pro.

Do you know what's standard for that price? I don't need blind spot, qi charging, or any other gimmick but duel climate control would be nice. The upgrade package is $2,500 more. So what standard equipment is expected for the interior of the base TRD?

What he means is that he is dealing with a Truecar dealer. So what ever Truecar decides to price the 2016's at, he will get that price. So Truecar price has not been determined yet. I think another member pointed out that Truecar pricing also will not be out overnight. It may take several weeks before they get an established deal going for customers. So I'll be keeping an eye on that.

That's what I was initially thinking as well. I thought we was locking in 15 prices for 16s. If that was the case I'll be buying me more than 1 lol.

$1,000 was deducted from my price on my Invoice. It was shown as a fully refundable deposit on my Invoice.
