    Question, hopefully I get some good feedback. I have a 2012 4x4 dcsb with sliders, ifs and mid skid plates (about 160lbs I bleieve). I'm running billies 5100 with ome 885x coils and tc ucas. Would be OK to run 886 on 5100s to add a bit more height, no to exceed 3" and not kill my CV boots? Looking for 2.5". When I first did the lift, I got 2.5" of lift and CV boots looked happy.

    They flex pretty good. The first pic is about as high up as it'll go up front with the bump stops. It will go higher and rub the top of the well if I drop off something hard and compress the bumps :) No sway bar of course.

    I have 886s but with nitrochargers and a bunch of weight and I'm right around 2.5". My CVs are holding up pretty well all things considered.

    Thanks la0d0g, and the ride is smoothish? I know I hear a lot of people say it isn't but, I believe they're using them for more than what they are suppose to. I guess I'm trying to say that I believe they're using them as coilovers.

    Mine wasn't so smooth at first but after about a year they are a little smoother. I have 886 and nitrochargers, bumper, skids, sliders, winch, lights. And I am right around 3'' of lift maybe less.

    Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.
    +1 for this. I love the OME coils over stock coils. Even with me having a sport that suppost to have somewhat of a better setup than other trims besides the off-road which correct me if I'm wrong the OR's have stiffer coils? Anyway OME all the way for me!

    I believe the sport has the stiffer coils for tighter handling. The OR has the softer for easier obstacle absorption.

    I think the sports are linear springs (even coil spacing), and the OR's are progressive coil (tighter coil spacing at one end). Not sure on spring rate of each though.

    Question about new dakar leaf pack and extended break lines. I may pair these with bilstein 5125 rear shocks. I have seen they are not needed but recommended. I don't offroad and flex much, stock lines be good to go? I would rather get new bump stops than new break lines. recommendations on affordable bump stops for dakar pack? I know wheelers superbumps are very well liked, but seem steep to me, I know you get what you pay for. Anyone have any other recommendations on other good ones at a good price? Thanks. JA

    Are you guys with front bumpers running the 886's with 'enhancer' kits to add a bit of lift to keep 3"? Same goes for the rear Dakar leafs, I'm looking at getting a set of those, I have the all pro steel rear bumper, a Leer 100RCC topper with a front runner roof rack, on which my Tepui autana ruggedized tent is going. Extra leaf spring recommended or is that more for guys hauling trailers? Or just go wit the standard 886 & nitrocharger and standard dakar as they come.

    $47 Daystar KU09037BK Front/Rear Bolt-In Extended Bump Stop
    these, cheap and easy. Go flex out, see how much you want to cut off (I cut the first two sections off), drill hole up top and install.

    Here is a pic of where I mounted them. I can get a close up if you want it.

    I've had Dakars , stock lines and Superbumps for about 5 years now , no issues

    No top plate for me, the less lift the better. I have CS047RX2, no leafs removed or added, in the rear with a HC plate bumper, bed bars and 90+lb spare tire and still have some rake.
