:spy: good question, but I think Jake will be rolling around in a blue Taco from now on...and no loan payments.

First thing is the AC. Looks like the compressor is dead and has broken lines. Then it seems some switches may be bad. Not sure about the battery issue though.
    Sure rides nice!

I can feel the shocks bounce but they are rebuildable at DSM in LA for cheap.

I didn't know about the axle wrap but I don't wheel hard often so it'll be ok for now. Perhaps a 4-link is in my future...

I'll have to look at the bumper as I didn't notice but it wasn't something I was looking for.

The steering column jiggles when you push it in the engine bay and the truck wanders a bit as well. Not sure what that's about but 35" tires can't help haha

There's extra wiring in the engine bay so that'll be ripped out and fixed.

The AC is dead. Likely have to replace The compressor, lines, etc.

The abs light and parking brake light are on as well as the battery light. I'll start tracking those down soon.

Haha what else do you know?

Yes, trade plus a little cash minus some cash for obvious repairs. The stuff mentioned by @ntydog13 was not disclosed before or after sale.

Irregardless, Everyone is happy! ... AND, yes, there's a third party involved, a guy named Robert. Robert is the original owner of the blue Taco. He had to sell it back in the day due to kids I think and eventually I bought it from a guy in Lompoc. About a year and a half later, he sees a picture on Instagram and realizes I have his truck. We talk and he wants to buy it back. We agree on a price and he starts trying to sell his current truck. I start looking for other trucks and found Jake's. After talking, we realized we could do a trade and eventually Jake could sell the blue truck back to Robert while simultaneously paying off his loan through the deal with me. I spoke to Robert and it turns out they have plans to meet next month to do their deal.

So I get a locked, 4x4, 6-speed, long travel truck with 100,000 less miles than the blue one, Robert gets his truck back with sentimental value and Jake pays off his loans and gets cash for the blue truck to buy something the wife will be okay with. Everyone wins!

Moral of the story: don't have kids and be really sure your fiancée likes camping and wheeling! Haha

Looks good man! A suspension refresh is mandatory for any new truck. The bumper just needs a few more tubes and it will be fine. Sounds like you got a good deal. It's 6 speed right?

Yea, now I just need the damn time to get the shocks rebuilt. I can't decide if I should drive to DSM and leave the truck for a week or drive the shocks out to them...I'm not shipping 6 shocks/coilovers. Yikes.

It's a 6 speed. I'm glad to be back into a normal car since I don't tend to drive in traffic.

The speedo is off by almost 10mph according to my GPS. It reads slow so that means the mileage is higher than what the odometer is showing me, but that's OK. I asked him how fast he drove to work and he said usually 80mph...so he was driving 85-90mph on the freeway - I'm not surprised he got 14mpg...I'm pulling better numbers than that already.

If you just need them rebuilt, you should just doing them yourself. Super cheap and easy and fast. Jordan even has a nitro setup

OH! that's nice! Nitro was my biggest problem. I've never done it, but I've vowed to spend less on labor with this truck than past trucks since I now own a garage and can leave something torn down for a week haha

It'll be something you'll want to know when you're trying to tune the shocks for your truck. Being able to try multiple types of valving in 1 day is priceless
