Before and After Alignment after new lift

OK so I will do my build thread shortly but I lifted the truck last week. by myself. my 1st build ever. Thanks to you guys on here for the help and enlightenment.
I'm posting my paperwork from my alignment to see what you guys think.

The guys who did it usually work mostly on jeeps and other stuff. an occasionally toyota. they were very cool and the price was 95$.

However the guy say your truck is pretty much borderline too high and your tires(285/70/17) are meant for a 1/2 ton truck so the PSI right now of about 38 is good where as it's supposed to be at 80psi.

He said the numbers pretty much fell into place but I felt like he was dissing my lift.

Your thoughts and opinions? numbers look good?

Whatever man, I'm loving it, now to get dirty.

 

80 PSI in 285s and for 1/2 tons only, huh?

Sounds like an asshat. And your truck is too tall? That's funny to hear.

How does the truck drive? I would find a new alignment guy in the future, one who shuts his mouth and goes to work, finishes the job and opens his mouth for the next guy.

 

I'm ok with the way it drives, I did a 3" lift in the front, OME 887's with Bilstein 5100's, 3/8" spaver on each side plus a 1/4" spacer on the driver side.
Read was 2" with Bilstein 5100's and a 3leaf progressive AAL.
Did the OME pilot bearing drop.
and Light Racing UCA's as well.
I haven't trimmed it yet for the rub. I'm waiting to see where it really needs it. So far just the front mud flap in the front of the wheel and some of the inside wheel well area. a tiny bit.

The truck rides nicely, I'm happy with it. I got it for offroading, not driving the president around in. Shee-it.....

Do a chalk test on your tires and make sure they're inflated properly, but the 285, 80 PSI, 1/2 ton truck thing has to be one of dumbest things I've heard from a mechanic. At least this week.

I'm kinda curious as to what's up with the hand written alignment spec sheet... Do they have a proper alignment machine? And if so, why no printout? And anyone who thinks their tire pressure has to be what it says on the sidewall needs some education.

 

Styx, he didn't say it needed to be what the PSI said, he said it was better that it was lower.

the hand written spec sheet is they use the old Beeline alignment machines. As I was told with the computerized ones, anyone can run that but to use the old beeline they have to know how to really do and understand an alignment.

Whereas the computerized systems they tell the tech where to put what and they don't always get it in line.

Interesting... I didn't know shops still use those old systems.

 

the owner, who was working the front desk explained somethings to me, and he explained the whole computerized machine with a tech vs an old beeline machine with someone who knows what caster, camber and all that stuff means. whereas a tech can read the computers telling him to put this there and then it's good. which isn't always right.

 

I guess I can buy that, but I personally know plenty of techs who use computer alignment machines (myself included) who understand the in's and out's of camber, caster, toe, etc.

 

I'm not saying all of them don't knwo that, but as I was told by my friends who referred me they are "old school".
