If I owned a battery company I would consider changing my brand name from "UltraFire". Just sayin.....

Very interested but not sure on the light and definitely not OK with the batteries. I work with 18650 Batteries every day and Ultrafire... well any thing with "fire" in the name is exactly what you could end up with. They are not a very safe brand usually. 18650's and stated by another member are not to be messed with. Cheap ones especially. If I had to choose I rather use samsung 25r, Sony VTC4 or 5's or LG HE4 batteries. Either way, keeping them in a tube, in a vehicle which could potentially be cooking in the sun has a very high chance of them popping.

Either way, I love the idea of the mount. Would want to test that light before trusting it. Just opinion and particular on lights. Not a dig at this in any way.

I've been using these same batteries for YEARS. I always have a good half a dozen in both my car and my truck, installed in flashlights, and extras in the center console.

Never had a single problem, only excellent performance.

My take on this as far as the batteries go is if you feel that the batteries that Chad supplies don't meet your standards then you can always switch to a brand of your choice that you are comfortable with. I also use the same batteries in my Vape Pipes and only buy name brand ones. I've never had a issue with them and I promise that my pipes pull more juice than the light ever would. I've also left the pipe in the truck during 100*+ days with no issues. JMO

Good to know you have had no issues with them. Just going off of personal experience that I have had with them. I have seen them explode in heat as well as destroy some devices. Then again, perhaps they were mistreated prior to use or the proper charging and maintenance of them was ignored. Not trying to cause a fuss or bash. I am just very selective with certain things. Just like I trust my life with certain firearms, I trust my life and equipment with certain batteries and accessories. There are very few actual 18650 manufacturers. This is especially true with high drains. Chinese battery mfgrs are known to have not only clone batteries but re wrapped batteries with questionable sources and QC.

I would absolutely switch batteries. Which is why I posted. I thought feedback (constructive) was wanted. Again, not trying to crap on this in any way as I am very interested in the product. I do however put safety above all else. I too use vapes which take 18650 batts. Knowing ohm's law and proper handling of these battery types keeps me from holding a potential pipe bomb. I didn't bring that up due to the differences in voltage, watts etc. and two different devices. Only bringing up the common/shared parts, the batteries. Merely stating facts on battery safety and known issues with certain brands and or types. Everyone is able to make their own informed decisions and I would not tell anyone not to do something. Only adding my 2 cents to this.

The batteries that I supply will be brand new and come from a reputable source. No worries.

I don't doubt your knowledge of the batteries and I personally think your input is constructive. Good info for everyone to know

This is the charger I use to charge mine

yah I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade here whatsoever

just bringing info out to a forum where perhaps 18650's are not often discussed

18650's powered lights are definitely baller, but if you go cheap on them please
note is it one of the most profitable crimes in existence today to take thrown out laptop packs,
strip and resell them as new cells. HUGE organized crime orgs in china and other places
sells millions of fakes and recycled every month. profit is off the charts and most people don't
know what hit them when the battery croaks later.

if the batteries are new and legit, and all have equal charge, they will be fine
on the floor of the vehicle baking all day and night...lithium can take heat.
special 'missile-rated' ones can handle 200deg F no problem, standard lithium
    can handle 150F.

the only real rules is: when used in series, and if the batteries are same capacity,
and not knock-offs, and are charged the same, and have same discharge rates,
they are safe in series and safe in an enclosed light. if one is a knockoff, older, doesn't
charge the same or discharge the same, it can create a race condition and extreme heat
and it could turn the metal cylinder flashlight into a pipe bomb.

which is why is is extremely important to source your 18650 not from fleabay or anywhere else,
but from a reputable seller like battery junction, or one of the manufacturers I indicated in a
    previous post.

in most cases it is just a garbage cell that doesn't hold a charge or has low capacity. the danger is
putting them in series...this is where problems start when each cell in the series does not agree on
    charge, capacity, and voltage.

Thanks for informing us. Now the question is... where do we get REAL 18650s? Is there a legit source?

KB Voodoo stands behind his batts,

and I already posted a short list in this thread.

    Just avoid ebay, craggies, Amazon....
go direct to a flashlight maker or batteryjunction or illumination supply
    or goinggear...>>avoid ebay <<
