I was just here 2 weeks ago...Flew to SF..stayed 2 nights, drove to Yosemite, 2 nights, drove to Sequoia 1 night...drove to Santa monica 1 night...drove to Laguna Hills 1 night...Airport drop off the rental flew to Las Vegas 1 night...drove to Grand Canyon for 2 nights and then back to Las Vegas for a red eye home... 1300 miles.

Sequoia was great. It where we saw BEARS! Hiked some cool trails. The Sugar pine trail from the crescent valley to Moro Rock was a great family hike. It was cool to be at 7000+ft and feel what a little altitude can do. I am in great shape and could still feel the altitude...Of course I had to carry all the water for 3 :)

If you are still there get to the crescent meadow before 9am (That's when the shuttle starts and you will see so much wildlife before all the noisy people arrive)

Thanks, because it was just my kid and I in one truck we did the fireroad trail. I really wanted to do the "Jeep trail" but my son voted against it. How was the jeep trail?

It was awesome, I actually let the wife drive the whole thing. There were a few pretty cool hills, nothing too technical tough.

Agreed, one has to see them in person to really appreciate just how huge they are.

The sequoia trees are awesome. This pic is actually from Mariposa Grove in Yosemite NP. Just breath taking every time I see them. My arm span is 6ft gives you an idea of how wide that tree actually is.

Nice pics. I almost went to Kings Canyon this month but instead went to Eastern Sierra's. I love the big trees.
