Well tomorrow will be a week that I've had the supercharger. I love it. The difference to me is night and day. Its no Ferrari but to me at least it drastically increased acceleration power. I understand everyone has their own opinion as to how different it feels, worth it/not worth it and so on. I'm glad i got mine for sure. Paired with the manual trans and quick shifter, it makes my truck an absolute pleasure to drive.

I went to the dealer today and they said there are 8 left in the country, and plenty of fit kits.

When we talked about labor they gave me the it lakes 20 hours to install speech and weren't willing to negotiate. I have seen it mentioned multiple times on here that the "book" and Toyota's website say 6.5 hours, but after a half hour of searching I can't find anything useful about that. Can someone show me where that information is, or offer any advice on how to get them to come down to something reasonable? I thought I'd post here because this thread seems to be quite active.

    Lots...
    Hey guys!
I live in Mexico and visited my dealer (the manager is a friend of mine)... he told me that they had one SC in stock, but that the problem was that it will only fit models up to 2010...

My truck is a 2011, I don't know and that's why I'm asking, if there is any compatibility issues like the reprogramming or any hardware between the 05-10 and the 11+??

As they believe it can only be installed in a 2010, had it in stock for at least 5 years and in Mexico nobody is looking for SC's... I might get it with a great deal...

This might not be the right thread, but I'll appreciate your help!

Alrighty, I can't find it anymore. Someone please link me to the install PDF for the SC, my hood has that slight tilt from the hood lock bracket. I want to show it to the dealer.

I went to my dealer the other day to get a price for the supercharger. They gave me a price of between $4700-5700 just for the supercharger and fit kit. Install price was quoted at $998. I'm ok with install price but my god, the the supercharger and fit kit price is stupid. I asked why not a solid price and all he said was that what Toyota told him. Anyone now of a dealer that has a better price I can order from.

I payed back in Dec 2014 $4493 (including antifreeze)for parts, $1k install, $366 tax. Total was $5897 out the door. I like the extra power for sure.

And that's what Toyota told the dealer? HAHA! They sell it for what they want to. Talk em' down. Remember, all dealerships know these are hard to get and the price will go up till there is no more out there.

I had the dealer install the lower pulley for me. I didn't want to mess with it.
I did the rest of the install myself. It took me 9-10 hours of solid working on it with no real hang ups.
I could probably shave a little time off having done one now.
I decided to do mine myself because in talking to the dealers I found they rarely if at all installed them.
Nothing was too difficult just time consuming

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
They are probably stupid, the parts are all the same for the 2nd gen.

Get in the installation manual and get the correct code for which calibration you need for it and make sure the dealer has a tech stream and the ability to use it to install the right tune

I have lots of mechanical experience, I got burnt out on it so I don't do it much anymore.
After hearing the lack of dealer experience in putting these in and hearing other people on here complaining about how bad their supercharger sounded idling, belts wearing etc. I decided to do it myself

Was finally able to get the emissions sticker. Big thanks to DCH Toyota in Simi Valley. They didn't charge me anything for it either!!

What did you have to do to get the CARB EO sticker from DCH Toyota? I need to procure one too.
