You're nuts, but the good kind of nuts. Any other plans or are you pretty set?

BTW, any issues besides hills with the previous Tundra? I'm going to be getting one and was planning on using it as a occasional tow rig when I eventually get a 1st gen 4Runner.

New truck is set for a while. Have a few other things I'd like to do, but low priority.

    For the old tundra:

    Front brakes suck.
Tow capacity is nothing to write home about...basically the same as a second gen Tacoma. 6700 lbs.
Has a timing belt instead of a chain.
Voltage regulator was a little wonky on my truck. Not sure if it was just mine or all shared that.
Other than that my old Tundra was awesome.

Thanks for the reply. I'm still kicking myself for not biting the bullet and buying it off of you. Great work on the new one.

Sorry I'll stop bugging you, what did you get for it for trade in? It was the perfect truck IMO, except it needed F-5's over the 6's haha.

Never really considered the Tundra, but this is one hell of away to go, and has my mind turning! That 5.7 with the super charger must be epic! This is the exact reason why Toyota killing the TRD SC program is idiotic. The program made their truck line-up interesting and created a great halo effect.

Ha! I don't mind man. 15k trade in. And I had the 8's on the Tundra, not the 6's.

    Could not agree more.

Ok yeah that would be the absolute max, but still pushing it. Eh, I'll just cry myself to sleep knowing I could have some Jberry glory under me everyday....

Congrats on the new rig! My roommate has an 07 Tundra DC with the TRD S/C and it is unbelievable how powerful that motor is with a little boost.

All this time I figured you for a bottom. :boink:

And they couldn't keep my old truck on the lot. They had it sold 3 days after I traded it in...for almost $21k
