Yep, carbs in the morning is no bueno for my energy levels (quitting caffeine as well) but I am trying to get past this stall I have hit. Shoveling more carbs down my mouth is what I am currently trying.

Just came off of two weeks of steak and eggs only. That was some of the best energy I have ever had in the mornings. Still didnt wake up feeling refreshed though.

Thanks Taylor, I was hoping you qualified for the cheap McDs coffee too. :p But damn son, whatever you're doing, it's working.

I'm not sure about the energy thing man. Some cats I work with are like me & others not so much...at all. Mine pretty much last until I fall asleep.

I've always been the same way regardless of my intake or activity. And normally sleeping 6 or more hours a day is a struggle. I do know some on my family are the same or better/worse at sleeping. Getting maybe only 4 hours a night on average and are fine.

So two weeks of steak and eggs? Literally nothing else? Were you bulking cutting or maintaining?
I only ask because, based on your photo, it looks like whatever it was you were doing has been working great.

Literally nothing else except maybe some greens when I was wasnt shitting enough. It was more of a short cut before I introduced a shit ton of carbs. I dont recommend it for more than that length of time or more than once a year. I ate twice a day and usually 5 eggs and 10-12oz of steak eat sitting.

I am big into surfing and diving/fishing but making a big push to put on some size before the winter hits and I loose it all again. My body likes to always come back to 180-185lbs (granted leaner) but I am now trying to reset that (i think tnation.com did an article about it recently) and shoot for 190-195 of the same leannes. I have only been up to 210 and my body did not like that.

I was wondering about bowel without the balance in the diet. Granted, it's a short period.

Did someone say fishing? All about deep sea/off shore! Best sport ever!

Educate me, in your state, what changes are you talking about during winter? Fish moving b/c colder water? Seas regarding surfing? Or?

Surf is way better in the winter as we get most of our swells from the winter storms up near Alaska which travel 2000+ miles unobstructed before they crash into our shallow reefs.........thus I usually surf every day. No telling how many calories I burn, but I definitely loose a lot of size. Being a great surfer requires mobility and muscle endurance (back and shoulders) which goes totally against brute gym strength/strongman type stuff I like to do.

As far as fishing goes, it is decent all year round for pelagic species out here. Summer is actually more action for marlin, ono (wahoo) and mahi mahi while winter better for bottom species Ulua (giant trevally) but since I fish out of a kayak, the colder the water temps (drops a few degrees in winter) means I can catch them in shallower water (less paddling).

never seen that thread. I will have to check it out.

I literally only get on tacomaworld for this thread and the maui group thread now. No more spending money on the truck so I dont even think about looking at any other threads.

Just doing drop sets on leg press. I got down to 4 plates and all of a sudden somethin in my lower back freaked the fuck out. Couldn't straighten my left leg or put any pressure on it. Got up and could barely walk. No clue what happened. But it hurts like a mother.

could be you pinched your sciatic nerve. might be a good warning sign to back off for a few days. I had something similar happen warming up for deadlift several years back. Took a few days off then hit it hard again.....ended up slipping a disk. Dont do that. Had to start over with just the bar on squat and deadlift.

Back injuries are no joke man. I'd give it a minute to correct. Hard to work out any parts without some stress on the lower back...

Do some reading on Cauda Equina...it'll scare the piss out of a guy using his back.

Yeah. I have a back injury from 10 years ago. Sometimes I'll pinch that nerve still. What I do is back off for a few days or a week and then focus on more on form.

I think we can all agree that was not sarcasm and the dude has had a hard on for me since I started posting on this thread. I have a feeling he spends a lot of time on the BB.com misc forum.
