Colored matched the chrome grille and rear bumper. Going to paint the front bumper next week

Why is it that every time I start talking about a new mod, shit on my truck decides to break? I was pushing 240ºF in stop-and-go traffic yesterday with 97ºF ambient temperature. I was wanting to get my brakes upgraded, then I had to get a Ujoint replaced. I have warped rotors but now not enough money for the complete upgrade. Now I have a cooling problem and need to replace my battery......SOB! Angry Matthew. Very angry Matthew.

 

Make sure you check your thermostat first, could be a cheap fix.

How do I check it?

Oh but I was! Stop-and-go on Dallas North Tollway at 5:00 yesterday, I had to turn the heat on and roll the windows down. It was AWFUL

 

Truth. Been there, done that for a few years when I had my ford ranger

 

Damn. Did the engine temp go down at all?

 

Oh yeah. Blowing max heat on high fan speed cools it down really fast, but when you stop, the temperature just creeps back up

 

I've been without a/c since December...$800 compressor assembly my ass.

 

Ouch.

But how do I check the thermostat?

My temp gets up there if I'm not moving much and my av is blasting, nothing's wrong with my cooling system haha they get warm quick

Edit it doesn't get to 240 I thought it said 210.

 

Mine stays 195-199 no matter what im doing.

 

This is abnormal for my truck, the needle was getting uncomfortably close to the red.

I had my thermostat replaced 2 years ago because my cats werent getting warm enough to pass smog.
