Hissing sound coming from engine

    so when i tap the gas pedal while driving or in neutral my engine makes a hissing sound and than revs i have no air intake at all on it so i know it can be that i dont know what this sound can anyone take a stab at what it is?

    Its caused from the sudden change in pressure at the throttle. When you jab the throttle, you will hear a "wooosh" sound or a "Hiss" sound.
