Tomorrow I will go in and see if the dealership will do any better on their price for the 2015 I am looking at. Right now we are at $32.2 for '15 TRD DCSB OR, with Tow Package, JBL Entune/Navi, Door Sill protectors, Tint, clear bra, exhaust tip, dealer fees, and $200 towards an accessory of my choice. This is about $1k less than the USAA pricing. So it is not bad at all. It will come down to final price and trade in value.

That's a great deal. Local dealer here in WA is offering 3k off MSRP

That price is $4k off MSRP, not including the tint, clear bra, and $200 towards accessory. He also mentioned an alarm system that was installed by the dealership ($499), but not sure what that is about. I more than likely will pull the trigger tomorrow if they deal straight with me on my trade in.

Damn, at that price, the '16 would need to have hell of a lot better fuel economy for me not to take the '15 and run.

I know and I don't think I'll be waiting to see what the '16 MPG's are...

Please post your invoice if you decided to get a '15. Maybe I can use it to have my local dealer price match :)

With that deal, You can drive the 2015 for a couple years and trade in for a 2018 if you like, without losing much $.

My original plan was '15 or '16 leaning towards the '16. Unless i could get a crazy deal on a '15... looks like I may be riding the crazy train.

So, the guy I am dealing with at one of the SF Bay Area dealership has placed my order for a White 2016 TRD OffRoad Access Cab Automatic. I'm ok with MSRP or slightly under since I am replacing a five year old Jetta Sportwagen TDI. Trade-in now will offset any future losses on my part due to that car.

Program (work based) I am going through should be MSRP minus a bit. Dealer add ons (which the build is coming with none of) are deeply discounted.

I should know exact pricing in the next couple of weeks. At least I have a VIN tied to my order.

Just bought the exact same thing yesterday. Was set on the '16 until I realized I could save at least $6k by going with a '15 with JBL, loaded, and stupid dealer items like tint and paint protection. OTD for 32.8. It suits me just fine and is great to drive. The JBL is awesome too. Plus there's just something about the dials for the climate control (no unnecessary dual controls), and a real key rather than push button. I like the simplicity. I can trade it in for a '17 or '18 when the deals are better.

Wow! 32.8 OTD? Can't get a better deal. Can you share your invoice via PM so I can try to get the local dealer price match?

$32.8 OTD! Dang, I don't think I'll get that good. I'm at $32.2 before taxes (8%) and registration fees ($500 roughly). With those two items, I'm expecting to tack on another $3k to the final price. I'd have you get them down to $29k on price to get down to an OTD like that. I'm pretty sure they won't go that low, but I'll give it a go today.

Congrats on your awesome deal! I'll let ya know how mine goes today.

AFHart got me looking around my area. Best I've found so far is '15 DCSB TRD O/R with Tow Package, entune w/ nav - $31,664 (before tax/tags). Fuck...I wish Toyota would just release the specs of the '16!!

    Edit: ~$3k off MSRP.

Believe me I checked around all of AZ and CA for a dealer who would go below invoice and also for the TRD with those specs. An off road with JBL is REALLY hard to find, so if you're on the fence, I'd go with it and pay a little more. That's just me though. However, my deal is:
    29,837 ($500 under invoice)
    2,537 taxes
    444 for reg and fees

I don't know what dealer fees are in CO but they vary by state. NV and AZ are around $450 while Ca is about $80. But you should at least be able to get $500 over invoice. I found a lot of dealers who would go under invoice. Good luck!

This is the number that matters. People shouldn't be stating OTD because tax and fees vary from around the country and the OTD ends up meaning not much. Or half the time people state OTD and they don't know what they are talking about and leave out all the other stuff they had to pay for.

It seems like sales of Tacomas over the last couple of months have gone through the roof in AZ. They are everywhere.

Your buddy is doing something wrong. No offense but thats low, even when I was lifted I got better than that. My 2015 4wd DCLB is consistent 18/19 city and my lifted E rated 285 tires 2011 was getting 16 consistent mpg.

Agreed, dont blame you, just wanted to point out thats pretty low even for a 1GR. The 16 will be an improvement, still betting on 18/25mpg. I run 93 too so that plays a part too.

Ok, pulled the trigger. 2015 DCSB OR w/tow package in Pyrite Mica, all the options I mentioned above, for $31.5k. Feeling pretty good about it!
