Whenever I honk, I make sure to throw my hands up immediately afterwards and look behind me, that way the asshole in front of me thinks the guy behind ME was the asshole.

Will have to try this one time if I ever have the guts.
You know those dip shits that can't maintain a consistent speed on the highway? And they stay like right next to you in the left hand lane, or they sit in your blind spot? I have always wanted to act like I was swerving over on them just to get them to freak out and pass or get behind me.

It's only funny when it doesn't result in an accident though.

Maybe her car broke down. I remember a time when I had an alternator go out at a very busy intersection. The car was dead and I had the hood up. Assholes still honked at me. No one stopped and offered assistance. Thankfully I was right by an airport and a worker saw my disabled vehicle and helped me push it off the road.

Not clear. Says nothing about her driving away. Just that he honked at her.

When ever it is a lady that gets bent out of shape in traffic I always blow them a kiss. Their reactions are hilarious after that.

being stuck behind her he would have noted that she was broken down and had to maneuver around it.

Do not make excuses for stupid people, thats their job.

Usually I just give a quick beep beep. If they're on their phone I lay on it. I only relocated one horn when I moved them so my truck sounds weaker than it already did when it had two.

I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps her car died and she was having trouble getting it started (this has actually happened to me as well). Shit happens.

That said if she was fucking around on her phone, talking with a passenger or distracted in some other way then no, it's not rude to give a quick beep of the horn.

    Too few to list.
In my experience, people I've seen sitting on a green light are looking down. So they were either playing with their phone or rummaging through their stuff. Even the girls that put on their make up at a stop pay attention to the light.
