    Sorry I was late to see this, but my mom worked at DWP for Labor Relations and created part of the Lineman program for the whole apprenticeship. I'm not sure what kind of money you are making right now, but in that trainee program you get paid about $32 an hour. I went signed the books myself as I am trying to become a lineman, and am going to be going to trade school up north for 4 months for lineman. But the wait to be called after signing the books is about 20 months right now, worst case scenario is 5 years.
