When I was 16 and learning to drive stick I stalled out right after it turned green and some asshat layed on his horn immediately. I stayed it back up and took off extra slow for their benefit.

I give people a few seconds. If they're on the phone I'll honk got a few seconds otherwise just a tap

If I am behind them I just wait

Most times I am watching cross traffic quite a few pass in front after the light has turned green

Getting Tee boned by a young man once not paying attention did not make my day nor the new work truck I was driving

Myself I really hate when people do it to me I most often set the emergency brake walk back and see what the person wanted

Sometimes I put on the flashers get out and open the hood

most times the light cycles a few times.

Sometimes, If I'm sitting at a light as the second car and notice someone's looking down at their phone or texting away without paying attention to the light, I like to "accidentally" hit the horn. It's funny to see them hear the horn and and step on the gas, then realize the light's still Red.

I don't let it ruin my day. I'm sure I have held up traffic a time or two by not going immediately on a green.

One must understand the rest of the story!!

Our town has only one traffic light for only a few years now.

So the people in town all know each other it is only the out of state people blowing the horns in a big hurry!!

It is quite common for people to get out of there vehicles at the light and talk quite often or park in the middle of the intersection and visit.

Then sometimes people nod off at the light .

Lets get things right I am a Douche bag not an ass hole

LMFAO 3 days ago I had some douche bag behind me honk when I could not clearly move ahead since the intersection was not clear. I sat through the light he was obviously "pissed" to no end since he thought it would be a great idea to approach the truck at the light while stopped. He was giving the one finger salute out the window and yelling......

After about 20 seconds an unmarked Va State Trooper turned his lights on right behind him after he was out of his car not sure what happened as I honked and drove on.....
