Bowl win and loss record dosent mean shit. Look at the way the bowls are set up and they favor the SEC by always having a higher ranked SEC team vs. lesser rank opponent from what ever conference is affiliated with that bowl.

I know there are other teams out there like Texas who kick USCs ass. I am just pointing out that Florida is overrated just as much as USC is at least USC doesn't win games then REF's get banned!!
Oh I still thing Texas should be the number one team in the nation! And can run circles around any team on any giving SAT!!!
But only real football fans know there place

There are numerous people at ESPN that suck cock too.

Texas shouldnt be #1 right now. I honestly think the criminal tide is the best team right now. The running back they have is just fun to watch he is one tough mother fucker. Texas and the gaytors are the next best teams they are both struggling on offense right now but when the dust settles Colt McCoy will have the record for most wins ever in college and another title for the Horns.

And there are many people on ESPN that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

I'm a UGA fan. I know my place. UGA sucks this year. Does that qualify me in your book as a "real college football fan" since I know my place? I hope so.

I agree that Florida is overrated (I'm by NO means a UF fan or a 'Bama fan). Florida shouldn't be #1. 'Bama should be. But, that said, Florida is the defending national champs, brought back basically the entire team from last year, and, although Arkansas got screwed (they still missed at least 5 scoring opportunities, so they didn't TOTALLY get screwed, they screwed themselves, too), there are still nothing but W's in the recordbooks. To be the man, ya gotta beat the man, and no one's done that yet. Texas hasn't shown me enough to be #1 yet, and Florida defintely isn't the dominating team it was last year. 'Bama has struggled with one facet of their offense almost every week, but when the passing game struggles, they run the ball all over the county. When the run game struggles, the passing game picks it up. That's the sign of a good team.

Or there are 12 teams in the SEC and they don't ALL play each other every year.

Basically, if UF and Bama don't slip up, the winner of the SEC title will play for the National title and hopefully play someone worth somethin instead of someone like freaking OHIO STATE - the only team CONSTANTLY more overrated than USC.

So then where should You bring the "fun to watch factor" where would you point teAms like cin or Boise? They are soo much fun to watch?

Oh For the record; by no means i think that USC should be number one. I think they are right where they should be top team with one lose.

Or what about teams like stanford? What if they don't get screwed by one call and are undefeated.... What if they beat USC. Should they be at least in the top 25.
Just because teams like cin are in the top 10?!?!?

So how do they pick who they play? So the best two teams play all the other teams and never play each other. Sounds like the sec is pretty messed up just like sec plays "overrated teams" in the bowl games. Sounds like the get the pick of the litter. Overrated sounds like to me.
I could care less about the bcs. At least I know everyone in the PAC 10 plays eachother and knows who #1 is.

Oh Bowl game couple years back.... a Sec"LSU" team to Play overrated USC Which was down south the Sec land. Well I was at that game and I remember what happened..... But, I won't bring it up again.

If Stanford is undefeated and beats the almighty USC, sure, bring em in the top 25.

The polls are completely retarded. Especially the ones made by actual people. I hate the BCS, but at least the BCS poll doens't still have Oklahoma in the top 25 with a 3-3 record. TCU, Cincy, Boise, Iowa, all undefeated, all in the top 8. Yea, they don't play anyone either, but if USC can be at the top without playin good competition, why can't those other teams? I don't care anything about the "fun to watch factor". I care about Ws and Ls. I think Boise, Cincy, TCU and Iowa should be ahead of USC, considering they are 6 and 7-0.

My biggest problem with the polls is the human polls right now. The AP and the ESPN Power Rankings have OU in the top 25 ahead of other teams that are 5-1 like Kansas or even a 4-2 Notre Dame.

The SEC East always plays everyone in the SEC East (UGA, UT, UK, UF, Vandy, SC.) and the SEC West always plays everyone in the west (LSU, Bama, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St.). In 2006 UGA played Ole Miss, Miss. St. and Auburn. 2007, UGA played Bama, ole miss, and auburn (the deep south's oldest rivalry, UGA and Auburn play basically every year.) Last year, UGA played LSU, Auburn, and Bama, this year they played LSU Auburn and Arkansas. And next year it's supposed to be Arkansas, Miss. St. and Auburn. They just alternate who plays who from the other division of the conference.

Florida played 'Bama in 06, and they're supposed to play again next year.

so you saying ARKANSAS, AUBURN, KENTUCKY, OLE MISS, TENNESSEE, MISSISSIPPI ST, SOUTH CAROLINA, and VANDERBILT.. are better teams then USC and all of them would beat USC... i doubt it.. just like you can make the argument that teams like florida and bama would run circles around all the sup par teams in the pac 10.

we are running around in circle over stupid stuff... ok you think SEC is better then all..

we will never know until they get rid of the bcs and have a playoff system...

oh you can say the same for teams like ohio state, mich, ND, texas, georgia, and ou..
any team can beat any given team on any given sat.. all depends.. we will never know!!!

Untill they play 4 full qtrs & not show up till mid 3rd & through out, they wont.

No reason they should have trailed or been tied with Wyoming, Col, TT & OU.
    at half.

Granted like good teams do, which they are, they find a way to win.

Though thier inconsistency in the 1st half could possibly hurt them?

I never said that at all actually. you asked how they picked who played who and said the top 2 teams never play each other, I pointed out how they pick who plays. They alternate.

Ole Miss should NEVER have been in the top 10. Arkansas is on their way up, but not there yet. Miss. St. is always terrible. SC is decent this year, but that doesn't mean I think they could beat USC. I never said that.

And that's why I don't consider them the #1 team in the country. They're good, but they're not the best right now. They could get on a hot streak and start blowing everyone out. But like you said, good teams find a way to win ball games.

that least they dont f^ck by refs who throw games...

i would rather lose knowing the better team won.... then win knowing the refs threw the game...not once but twice....

Yea, those refs blew a lot of calls, starting with the retarded unsportsmanlike penalty against A.J. Green. That changed that game. I still think the better team won the Arkansas/Florida game. Arkansas missed 2 late game field goals and Mallet overthrew 3 wide open TD's, which shows me they aren't quite ready to play with the best of the SEC. Give them another year or so and they'll be pretty good. (Maybe, they might go back to the basement).
