Do not confuse P tires with C tires. They are different, P stands for Passenger tire, C- is a truck tire. P tires have weaker sidewalls, usually 4-ply instead of C-load 6-ply.

If you don't wheel in anything where sidewall durability is a concern, or are just on the street P is fine.

Duratracs P255/75/17 installed. So far so good. Much smoother. No more hum. Much eaiser to balance. Very happy with the change. Spacers didnt work out. Tried on one and way too much rub. There 1.25" (have 9" wheel). I would need to do a BMC. When the wheel was straight I must say it looked wicked with the wider stance. I may exchange them Monday and try the 1". I paid $990 installed but there's a guy coming to see my old Duratracs today for $550 so it may work out not too bad.
