Maybe I'll hold one back from powder coat, paint it black tonight, and mount it up in my truck for pics, and to see how it rides over the weekend.

Yes, I will do that, yes I will.

I'm taking a little trip tomorrow through some really rough dirt roads, so that'll be a good indicator of how the mount holds the light.

    Rattles, we do not want.

No offense but that's gotta be a cheap flashlight for 38 bucks claiming 3800 lumens. I have 3 surefires and the brightest one is 1000 lumens and that was almost 300 bucks. The mounting idea looks good though.

I've been using it for about 8 months now. It's very solid and very well built.

As I said earlier, the lumen rating is probably trumped up by quite a bit, but it still throws an amazing amount of light.

It could be that Surefire lights are overpriced.

Surefire is also built in the USA, that adds to the cost. One could buy someone's soul from China for 25 bucks.

I would have loved to use a light like Surefire, but it's way too far out of most peoples price range.

The light that I selected will perform awesomely and reliably. People are going to love this thing.

It will be first come, first serve.

Once I get parts back, and make sure I like the way it rides, I'll list it for sale on my website, and you guys can have at it.

Making the mount will be quick. I can fit hundreds of them on one sheet of steel, and my guys build stuff fast for me now.

    Voodoo,

I know you said it was a snug fit for the light into the mount. Are you concerned that it may be too snug and possibly start to loosen up the tape after removing it and replacing it time after time? I really like the no drill as my truck is a lease...but i guess I could always remount it if the tape did start to come loose.

It isn't powder coated in these pics, just rattle canned black. Didn't get a picture of it mounted to the seat.

Thanks man. They didn't have the tape I wanted at my local supply store, so I'm going to have to order it Monday.

Right now I'm testing it with the same tape I use for my side rail caps.
