    He needs to dig in and fight the fight. Trying to reverse engineer a temp sender isn't going to help the cause.

    I honeslty don't think the motor is "blown". If anything, he needs new HG's, the internals cleaned up, and have the heads redone. I had the exact same thing happen to my 93 PU. That's what I did, and it was perfect. I had a little rough idle though because I couldn't find a loose vacuum line.

    Yeah, But the 1GR is an all aluminum engine. No telling what kind of damage can occure if over heated. The 276* he reported getting it up too is only the temp reported by the sender....Who knows what the cylynder temps got too.
