So I just made a 2k mile road trip and landed on the Left Coast. When I showed up, I realized I had picked up 2 nails in my front passenger side tire. They were in the meat, so I opted to take it in to Discount Tire to have it fixed up.

It was like a hospital waiting room, where the doctor comes out real slow and says "I have some bad news". Turns out they couldn't patch one of them because it was too close to the sidewall, so I'm stuck in the store having to decide what to buy. As it turns out, they only had one tire in the size I wanted, the Cooper Discoverer ATP. Not a terrible tire I don't think, but probably not what I would have bought if I had other options.

Anyway, I couldn't stand the idea of having mismatched tires on the truck, so I bought new shoes all the way around, leaving me with 3 perfectly good Falken Rocky Mountain ATS. What do I do...sell them? Keep them as spares? It may sound like a stupid question, but I'm very new to this world. I have no idea what they're worth used, and they're a discontinued tire, so value is hard to gauge. I'll throw up some pics so you can see their condition...really I kinda want them out of my garage.

    What would you do?

Are they the same size as the new ones you just got? You could use one as a full sized spare.

They are, the problem is that they're 17" and my spare rim is still stock at 16". So, point taken, I could keep 1 unmounted in my garage, but trying to avoid that. Or I could buy another rim.

Yep. Keep one as a spare because your stock spare is an inch smaller than those. Sell the other 2 online for a hundred bucks or 150 for the pair. Lots of people just replace 2 tires at a time if funds are tight.
