    Get the manual, the truck is a lot of fun to drive. The stock shifter is kinda shitty, but i come from driving 2 wrx's with upgraded shifters. This shifter is on my list after seat covers and floor mats.

    Proud new owner of a 2015 Tacoma 4x4 DCSB TRD Sport 6 Speed :). Guess im picking up one of these shifters soon! I still see them in ebay

    King ext travel coilovers, Icon tubular UCA's Rear-King "Tundra" 2.5's, Allpro Expos, TRD cat-back, Hurst/Core short shift kit, etc...
    The difference is he has a 4 cyl 5-speed. Different shifters. But who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and have that breather tapped in to it.

    Just ordered my hurst shifter and hurst T hanfle from Core. He responded and said the 6 speed v6 do not have the breathers in the shifter

    Hey guys, so I installed the shifter, LOVE IT, about 2k miles ago...my only thing is, since this is my first manual, anyone else notice that while in gear, the shifter can wobble around a bit in gear? Like I can move the shifter handle a good inch or so around, It just feels like something is loose now...I don't remember it being that way when I first installed. When I get the time I'm gonna pull the console apart and take a look to see if anything is loose, just wondering if everyone else has the same thing?

    It's firm in the gear, shifting is no problem, i just notice in 1/3/5 alot that I can wobble the shifter around, it really feels loose while in gear...but it's never popped out of gear lol

    Mine doesn't wobble any while in gear. I did use a shit load of blue locktite when I installed it.
    I would think if your bolts were loosening up, your shifter would wobble while in the other gears too.

    It's weird though, it doesn't feel like the handle is loose, it feels like the mechanism itself has alot of play in it...a handle wobble I think would feel different...I dunno...I'll take it apart when I can and take a look, maybe its just normal

    Wait, no, it came with its own, I remember it being a bitch to seat into the transmission, took a couple minutes to get it to slide in perfectly...I only noticed the play in last month or so

    Both my manuals did/do that, especially on rough roads, my shifter will play an in inch and a half each way, never had anything come loose or, but I've had it slap my knee a few times when I'm kicked back on a long drive...

    Hmmm weird, it must have broken in and just has some play in it. It just really feels like there's a lot of slop in it now that it's broken in lol. I'll pull it apart tonight at work when I get a minute and see if there's anything loose

    I put the 6 speed core shifter in? Just search Hurst Core shifter on ebay. I still love the shifter, just need to figure out if something wore in to much, if I did something wrong, or if its just normal
