My parents just bought a new 2015 4wd tacoma trade sport and they want to lift it 1.5-2 inches but they don't want to comprimise ride quality. they keep showing me spacer lifts and I don't agree putting a 100$ lift on a 40000$ truck. So I'm just wondering the best lift that is around 1000$. They only offloading they do is pulling our boat down a logging road. Any info would be great.
    Thanks

For a 1000 you will need to stick with a add a leaf. Tho I would reccomend General spring HD spring pack..

    5100's in all 4 corners. = 320 bucks

Stock coils up front, with the 5100 set to 1.75in setting, Get a 1/4in lean spacer for the driver side.

In the rear, a single 2in AAL (75 bucks from wheelers) and call it good.

The ride will be stiffer but much more pleasant and responsive IMO.

Could do progressive AAL pack in the rear with air bags..minimal lift for daily driving like you want and the bags will be there for hauling the boat.

After talking to all three off-road customizing shops in town, reading the TW forums, talking to the Toyota dealer, and doing other online research I kept hearing the same thing OVER AND OVER.

    Old....Man....Emu.

Just got my LR UCA's today and the rest of my OME kit arrives Monday. :)

I'd suggest, from what I've read and been told, doing a OME Dakar Leaf Pack replacement. The factory rear springs apparently tend to sag. If you're pulling a boat very much that weight might make them sag sooner than later.

I completely agree with @nd4spdbh. I love my 5100's with stock sport coils and glad I made the decision. Instead of using an AAL, I chose a one inch block. I only placed the shocks at .85, so I couldn't justify the stiffer ride with an AAL.

Just watch out.... the dakar leaf packs are STIFFFF.... buddy pulled one overload out of them and they were still stiff... now if you had a constant 500lbs in the bed they rode great. he ended up switching to all pro standards and they are much better and more flexy.

Pulling an overload has no effect on ride firmness with the Dakars , should have pulled the 3rd leaf down from the top

Just wondering how the ride is with the Wheelers single AAL.

For me, the single AAL rode more rough than my Dakar leaf pack

That's what I've been hearing. The Dakars sound like a nice setup, I'm only looking for 1-1.5" of lift in the back though. I've read that those will give you 2.75".

Might want to look at an Icon progressive AAL pack. Better than a single AAL and won't give you 2.75" in the rear.
