    With so many full size fan conversations having very large load ramps to accommodate these larger then life wheel chairs HC spots over the years have been getting redesigned to meet new HC size requirements........I think this changed sometime around 2005/6 and I bet that the one spot on the left in that pic is “van accessible.” as well since it clearly has room for a load ramp....

    One of eight accessible parking spaces, but always at least one, must be van-accessible. For total Number of Parking spaces Provided (per lot) as it is called the 2% plus one rule....
    • a wider access aisle (96”) to accommodate a wheelchair lift;
    • vertical clearance to accommodate van height at the van parking space, the adjacent access aisle, and on the vehicular route to and from the van-accessible space, and
    • an additional sign that identifies the parking spaces as “van accessible.”

    I gave up caring about others' ego or sense of entitlement many moons ago.

    btw, many (most) parking lots are privately owned and it's not illegal to take more than one space. I'm not condoning the practice, just pointing it out.
