    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
My manual says 91 RON (research octane number) and I thought that meant 91 octane but apparently 91 RON = 87 Octane...
    Not confirmed; "leaked."

Can't see how these leaked figures won't be anything but true. It did come straight from the horse's mouth.

I think the numbers will most likely be correct, I guess some people are still holding out hope for more. Toyota should release the damn numbers already because we are within a month of production start.

I am betting official MPG and power figures will be released in August. Toyota is holding a big PR event and the TFL truck guys are going. It is for the Tacoma.

Never imagined I'd be this excited for MPG numbers on a truck. One of the reasons I sold my '10 though was the crappy milage (DCSB Sport, manual). That, and the fact that I still had my '88 that I used to use more because I wanted to keep the '10 in as good of condition as possible.

Should be a substantial bump. 25 mpg is what most people are saying with 4x4 V6. I bet automatic gets a little better MPG again but going from 19 mpg hwy to 25 is a high deal. Thats more than a 25% bump in mpg. That adds up to a lot over the course of a year.

Highly doubtful but if the 4x4 V6 got 27 or above, I think many who complained about the torque #'s (myself included) would really reconsider our stance on the 2016. The Atkinson cycle V6 + weight loss + new transmissions might get us better MPG than we expect.

Guessing the engine is similar in the Lexus 450h, it is rated at 28 hwy...I suspect the Taco to fetch 4-5 mpgs less.

Toyota won't release the torques specs on the Lexus either...

24 mpg is pretty realistic. I think the motor will be more advanced the Colorado/Canyon, so I do have some hope it will exceed that.

If they came out with the numbers, we couldn't get our daily exercise 'jumping to conclusions'.

Since were speculating, just look at the 2015 Highlander 3.5L and subtract 1-mpg.

    So
    2wd 3.5L Tacoma will be 18/24
    4wd 3.5L Tacoma will be 17/23

    :)

Pretty lame they won't release the damn numbers, should go buy a Colorado out of spite. :D :p

Though I am waiting to check out the diesel Collie when they come out.

The highlander doesn't switch to the atkinson cycle to save fuel, hard to say.

Believe Mike is spot on, though I looked at the Lexus 450h, since it uses the Atkinson Cycle engine, and the Highlander doesn't.

I bet the Tacoma will be fine, I drove my stepdad's Highlander, feels plenty peppy enough for me, don't think it will get the mileage I want though.

I agree. Toyota has become all about secrecy these days with recall info to specs and beyond. It's ridiculous.

And when they do release any info, it is always a let down.
