I had a DJI FC40 and it let you take it down pretty low, lower than 3.8 volts per cell. I fried some batteries that way before I ever did any research about lipos.

I carry li-po batteries down to 3 volts per cell on a regular basis. 3.7 is nominal.

Point is I don't know how low they went actually, I know I setup the FC40 for the first low voltage alarm at 3.8 volts and ran them way down after that.

Although I'm not familiar with that models electronics, most systems will not let you bring down the voltage to a point where it damages the cells. I'm new to quads, but have flown electric planes for five or so years and raced electric surface models for over 25 years. I always set my ESCs up for a 3 volt per cell cut off and have batteries that perform for hundreds of cycles.

The 350 has a cut off but if you continue to fly until it will shut down there have been instances where the stock charger will not charge. The problem lies with the crappy stock charger. Hit up a local hobbyshop and have them test them for you

Or, turn your amperage down to .5 or so on a "real" charger and trickle charge it (closely supervised) for a few minutes at a time until the voltage rises to a level that your other charger will recognize it and charge it properly. You may have to set it to ni-cad or ni-mh, to do this. I have a few Eflite/Blade models with the cheap crappy chargers that come with them, and have never had this to happen to me. Maybe I've just been lucky?

Finally got a better charger. Once I figure out how to use it I'll be back in the air. :)
