Can you powdercoat chrome?

    My truck came with these rims, hate chrome, but dont wanna plasti dip them, want something durable and lasting. Need some options guys!

    If you properly prep the chrome (clean with acetone, apply light coats of primer, then a heavy coat of primer, than light coats of paint, heavy coat of paint, and then a few medium coats of clear) you can get paint to stick to chrome. Many people have issues with painting chrome but that is from poor prep.

    I'd think you'd be fine as long as they sand/media blasted them first.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    We powder coat over Chrome all the time if it's not chipping or flaking off we just scuff it with the blaster and coat it. I'f it's old and chipping away we blast it all off and it's expensive to blast chrome off so hopefully they are in good shape.

    they are in perfect shape, they just came with the truck and I dislike chrome

    Yeah take them to the powder coater and see what they say they will tell you if they need to be blasted or not.
